sorry if it seems like theres no plot progression, there is but i feel like i neglected the impact of a "half human beyblade" on the characters. i just lowkey put all that stuff aside in the og writing and everyone treated it like it was a normal thing
we'll have to get through a couple things, then its back to business. hopefully you like the "side stories" of the main plot (idk what else to call em), ive actually been having fun writing them. i have lots of ideas for side stories to progress character relationships with mc, soooo im crossing my fingers you guys actually like reading it

After being treated with some ointment, you were allowed to roam around with your friends again. However, Shu had to stick with Xhaka's Grandpa for one final exam before being let go. Finally standing by your owner again, you realized one thing. Xhaka's got some odd friends.
Turns out there's this guy who's been following you all around while touring the Dojo and Xhaka was aware of that the whole time. You assumed there was someone else in the vicinity, your fighter's instincts were polished enough to know when you're being stared at for too long, you were just too preoccupied with gawking at everything to properly focus on it. You just wondered why he isn't mentioning the other guy.
He stands in front of you and Valt after Xhaka announces his sneaky presence. His demeanor felt ominous and looming over you as you curiously stare at this new guy. His brown eyes take great interest in Valt before switching over to you.
"Aoi Valt. [Last name] [First name]."
"Hm?" Your partner hums.
"Hello!" You greet.
He adjusts his stance, placing his hands on his hips to accentuate his figure. His dirty yellow mohawk flutters as he peers downward. "I wanted to see the both of you since I heard the runner-ups from the Beigoma Regionals was coming, though," Yugo trails for a moment to meet your eyes. You feel yourself tensing for any possible threats and/or unnecessary comments. Wakiya's earlier exchange seemed to have gotten you a bit on edge meeting people like this. "I've been wanting to see you the most. I've been curious your nature and what you are, especially since I watched you transform in that video online."
You tilt your head a bit and relaxed upon noticing it wasn't all too serious. "Oh, is that it?"
"I've got this!" Valt dramatically extends an arm over to you, taking a big step forward with a determined glint in his eye.
"He didn't ask you, he asked [First name], idiot."
Valt ignores Rantaro's words and places a hand over his chest. "[First name] is both human and Beyblade. The best partner to ever exist and its purely because. . ." he inhales and extends both his hands to show you off. "She took half my soul!!!"
The impossible answer seems to take Yugo off guard, as well as everyone else. For a second, you were clueless as to why—until you realized. You completely forgot you didn't tell Rantaro and the others about this. Valt also didn't seem to remember this blunder as everyone's voice shouts at the same time.
"YOU SWITCHED SOULS?!"
It took about five minutes to fully explain what you are and what you did. Xhaka didn't seem to be bothered by this information, seeing how his signature laughter booms through the forest; calling it typical Valt shenanigans. Rantaro was rightfully freaked out, Daina was a little taken aback but recomposed himself after there wasn't any other explanation for your existence. Tokonatsu and Nika were concerned but Valt quickly reassures them that he's 100% okay.
