Madness is like gravity; all you need is a little push.

Hostility and bitterness were just one of the emotions that radiated of Winter as her hands hung in the air and her eyes locked at the King Argent's direction. The frantic shouts from the Queen pulsated in the air and the rest remained immobile.

I tried again, "Winter, stop"

Her orbs instantly shifted and narrowed in my direction, but still using her telekinesis powers.

She said with hatred, "Stop what?"

I flinched.

The tone that she used at me was foreign and unexpected. Her dark aura becoming more powerful as she continued watching me with aggravation. I took a deep breath as her aura was spreading around me with an overbearing amount of energy.

I said with a straight face, "Winter, you can't kill him."

The witch dropped her hands, while everyone heard our conversation. She turned and looked at me by squinting her eyes.

Winter said with confusion, "Are you protecting him? How could you not tell me that you were his daughter? Were you playing us?"

I frowned, but I tried to pacify her, "I didn't know. I just--"

She shouted, "Just what?"

Caleb, behind us, interfered, "Winter, wha--"

Winter quickly shifted to Caleb's direction and ordered, "Shut up and don't interfere. I mean it."

Caleb remained quiet and Winter returned her eyes towards me.

She continued, "Where were we? Ah, yes... You are that trash's daughter."

Roxanne's anger was rising rapidly as Winter wasn't showing respect and accusing things that we couldn't help. The way that she looked at me was out of disgust and something underneath.

I growled lightly, "Yes, I am his daughter."

Winter's eyes shifted to King's directions as he was touching his neck to relieve the pain created by Winter's unseen force. Winter didn't let him recoopered anymore as she resumed to hang him in the air with her powers.

The guards that had created a barrier in front of the Royals growled loudly as their King was in pain. In that moment, I understood that the werewolves weren't blind, just loyal by default.

Before any wolves could charge, some of the witches used their powers to freeze them. They didn't try to harm the wolves anymore as they saw that was creating me pain.

Winter noticed what was happening and ordered the witches, "What are you all doing? Destroy them!"

Every witch froze, unmoving, as Winter repeated with anger, "I said, destroy them!"

I shouted enough to gain her attention, "Winter, don't do this--"

Winter narrowed her eyes at me and interrupted, "Don't you dare."

I let my silver eyes make an appearance as I dared, "I can't let you do this."

Winter continued, "You are taking his side? The mutt's side?"

I shook my head in confusion, "No."

She said with affirmation, "You are lying."

I said softly, "Winter, I know you want to blame someone because you need it right now. But, you know what I have been through, do you really think that I would deceive you?"

A major life decision is never a choice but rather a realisation that the decision has already been made.

Winter's anger began dissolving slightly as her tears began to stream throughout her face slowly and eventually, she let go of the force. She runs the short distance to me and hugged me with force as she cried lightly on my shoulder.
