Lifeless with a heartbeat.

I was back on the sitting on that bench in my room and staring at my reflection. Every time I saw this mirror, I saw different emotions, but today it held an entirely new one.

I had never felt so lonely from being surrounded by the wrong people. When I was on Crescent pack, I had felt miserable but never so lonely that I wanted to disappear. But knowing that my parents wanted to kill me just felt a different kind of betrayal. Suddenly, the rejection and beatings that were given on my ex-pack didn't seem so bad...

I believed Noah's words, every last of them, not only because of the bad deeds that were hidden in that dungeon but because I had felt every ounce of truth in his words. Nobody could lie that perfectly in front of me, I would have caught him otherwise...

I had taken a long shower trying to purify my thoughts. But the more I thought about it, the more I cried. I continued till all my tears were dry and there wasn't an ounce of possible tears. Now, I had changed into clothes that Queen had suggested two days ago to wear. Just waiting... waiting for something because right now, I couldn't process much.

A knock came from another side of the door, but my hands kept brushing my hair. My eyes stayed glued to the mirror, dead inside.

I shouted loud enough to hear, "Enter."

The door quickly opened and I heard soft footsteps entering the room.

A female voice said, "Princess Argent, your company is requested. Prince Argent, your brother, will cross the Royal pack shortly."

I whispered, still not leaving the sight of my reflection, "I understand. You may go. I shall come shortly."

The light footsteps lead to the door's direction and the woman had exited my room by closing the door. I stopped brushing my hair and placed the brush on the table. I finally registered her words... My brother is coming to the Royal grounds.

I was finally about to meet my mysterious brother that even the King and the Queen avoided talking about.

Once again, I was brought back to Present as the door opened with a force that it almost broke into two. That lead me to look at intruder standing there, out of breath, as he crossed inside of my bedroom.

Garza asked, "Are you okay?"

Seeing him, right now, I felt out of place. Before, I had so much to discuss us, especially the mixed signals. But the betrayal from my parents leads me to mistrust everything I know, even my feelings. I couldn't understand how they wanted to kill their own offspring. For that reason, I couldn't look at him because I was afraid that if I do, I might change my decision.

I looked back at my reflection and touched my hair lightly.

I whispered, "I am fine."

I heard his footsteps coming closer to my direction.

I didn't say anything till he reached behind me, so I could see his reflection in the mirror. My eyes quickly drifted in his direction without any hesitation. But as soon as I saw him watching me intensively, I averted my eyes.

He started after some time of silence, "I was sedated outside of your room when I came to talk to you."

I said, wearing my all too known mask, "We don't have anything to talk about."

Garza frowned when I uttered those words. Maybe, he was expecting me to be more open or have another fight with me because that's the only way we did. But now that he was reaching out, I felt like pulling back because trust is a precious thing and I don't know if I can trust him.
