Bright sun shore from the sky as I walked through the woods in my human form. Roxanne had been quiet in the background as she was watching through my eyes.My mind drifted on today's event; today was my 18th birthday. The age that you are considered as an adult, no longer a teenager. Birthdays are meant to be joys, but mine never was. Since I can remember, it has always been horrific from beating me to humiliating in front of everyone.
Through these two months of running just aimlessly, my relationship with my wolf started to grow and as the time passed, we opened more and more.
Throughout the journey, we both encountered rogues roaming and trying to harm us but we were able to kill them all, allowing us to find different ways to murder them. Along with those problems, everyone heard that a lone rogue killed those pack members and since then more packs have been on high alert, but I was lucky enough to dodge them all.
Suddenly, my eyes followed a flock of birds going behind me. I started walking towards the opposite direction, straight to the place where the birds had come from.
As I was walking, I could hear some voices from the distant, and I was only able to hear through my werewolf hearing. I continued strolling slowly till I could see two figures and by the smell they were werewolves, but there was another strange odour.
I moved to my right side a bit without stepping in any branches. I could finally see that there four little girls, probably seven or eight. They looked frightened and in some kind of uniform that I didn't recognise, neither their scent. But my eyes returned to the two wolves who were rogues and their claws were out.
I whispered to my wolf, "They are just children."
Roxanne's temper increased by second as we watched the scene and in that moment, she shouted inside of my mind, "My disgust for werewolves is increasing day-by-day."
I said astonished, "But we are werewolves."
She asked retaliated, "And when did our kind ever helped us?" I didn't have an answer, and I was glad when Roxanne changed the topics, "The children don't smell like werewolves. What are they?"
I replied, "I don't know, but we can't let this happen."
Roxanne finished, "We won't."
I let my wolf take over my body to shift into a wolf and in no time my paws hit the ground. I looked up to find all of them looking at me with different emotions, the girls were afraid and the rogues were angry.
Roxanne charged towards them two and jumped in the sky. Her paws penetrated both of their chests and ripped without a second thought. Both of their intestines were ripped through the body and soft gasps were heard behind me.
Roxanne still had control, so she looked behind to find four little girls who closed their mouths immediately and took few steps back. She looked back at the ground and saw her bloody paws and started to shift back to my human form.
I was crouching near the bodies when I turned into my normal form. I stood up and looked at the girls once again and they gasped again. I took a step forward and I saw them taking three steps back, which made me stop in my way.
I stood directly in front of them and with a soft voice, I said, "Hello."
By hearing my voice, they took more steps behind, but they were stopped when they touched the tree behind them.
I tried again, "My name is Amelia."
One of the girls with blonde hair said, while looking at the bloody bodies, "You killed the bad men."
I looked behind me and took one last glance at the scene. I returned my gaze towards the little girl that had remarked and smiled, "Are you girls okay? Did they hurt you?"
All the girls nodded, some rapidly and some slowly.
Some other girl with brown hair said, "We are okay. My name is Heidi."
The girl with blonde hair continued, "Emma."
Another girl with ginger hair shouted, "Harper."
Finally, the littlest girl with pink highlights smiled brightly, "Clara."
I returned their smiles and continued, "Nice to meet you all." My smile turned down when I said, "You all should return to your house. It is getting dark."
Emma asked with curiosity, "What about you?"
Ignoring her question, I repeated, "You all should go home."
Clara in her calm voice said, "If you don't have a home, you should come with us."
A warm bed and nice food sounded amazing right now, however, I couldn't. I had two bodies that I need to take care of, so nobody knows that I have been here. Besides, I could feel some power, which meant this was owned by someone. As innocent that these girls looked, it didn't mean that their adults would have the same sympathy.
I wasn't fit for society anyway...
I shook my head, "I don't think that is a good idea."
Clara's face turned sour and it was cute how her dimples were showing. My smile returning as I looked at the girls, sensing that had too many questions. I had been around children before because as an Omega I had to babysit them as well, so my love for children began from there. I was happy that my wolf shared the same sentiment.
Roxanne remarked, "Of course, how can I hurt those small creatures?"
I laughed at her chosen words, but I returned to the present when Heidi asked, "Why are you laughing?"
I did not even realise that I was doing at loud and as I was about to answer, a strange force crashed my body and I flew to the nearest street. I squeezed my eyes when I felt a massive pain, feeling a branch penetrating in the middle of my hand.
I opened my eyes and took the branch out with a big push and blood started oozing from it, however, it was already starting to heal slowly. I felt Roxanne wanting to come to the surface as I looked straight at the woman in the black shoulder-cut dress. Her hair was red as blood and her eyes shined green, along with her a bright emerald pendant.
She took a step back with confusion written all over face as she whispered, "Your eyes..."
