Detached, I walked through the dense woods looking for some kind of shelter.

I had changed back to my human form few miles before and learnt that I didn't need change because my previous clothes were still in my body.

Roxanne, my wolf, seemed quiet but I could feel her anger inside and it seemed to grow little by little. I always felt her in the back of my mind. I had this feeling that she was waiting for something like it was the calm before the storm. However, I was glad she was there, I no longer felt isolation because I could count on someone.

As I was walking through the same looking trees for a week, I realised that I had found peace within the darkness and freer. However, darkness changed me, I acknowledged that, as I waited for the dark sky to come and walk through the dense forests with unknown dangers. There was the thrill of the unknown that I never realised that I loved it.

I stopped in my path and looked up into the sky finding a bright sun shining directly at me. The warmth that I received was foreign for me like it burnt me. I decided to take a break and sit in the nearest tree to block the sun.

As I dropped to the ground, I felt Roxanne becoming restless and on the edge. I looked around slowly and I felt the air change. My focus was on my surrounding as it turned electric. I felt Roxanne's guard up and felt hostile towards the uncertain.

I felt Roxanne frozen and rigid so I asked, "What is wrong?"

She said in a defensive tone, "Someone is here." She continued in high-alert as I stood up and looked around to find only greenery, "There are three smells, which means three werewolves."

In that exact time, three individuals appeared through the woods and looked at me with accusing eyes. I stayed in my place and assessed the situation. On my left and right, two werewolves bared his teeth and in front of me a human-form werewolf with narrowed eyes.

I was cornered between these three werewolves, which two were shifted. The werewolf in the human form shouted, "Who are you girl?"

Roxanne, my wolf, warned, "Be careful."

I answered with a full voice, "Amelia."

The man asked, "Do you know that you crossed Lost Ash Pack?"

I shook my head and said, "No. I have been running."

The man squinted his eyes, "Who are you running from?"

I didn't say anything and that frustrated the human because his chin ticked, while the wolves growled louder, but I wasn't scared for some reason.

The man tried again, "Which pack are you from?"

Again, I didn't say anything and that seemed to anger all three individuals, the man and the wolves.

The human pressed one last time, "Why did you run away from your pack?"

This time I answered him, unsure why, "My mate rejected me."

For a moment, the Wolves took a step back and surprise was written over the man's face. But after few moments his guard was up.

He asked me, "Why?"

I may have been cool from the outside, but inside of me this burning sensation seemed to ignite and the rage that was caged wanted to break apart.

I said with annoyance, "Isn't it obvious, he didn't want me and I accepted the rejection."

His eyebrows squinted and said, "If you have been rejected, then wouldn't you be weak and frail? You don't seem in pain."
