I sat on the couch alone, staring towards the floor while lost in space. I didn't know what yo do at the moment, and I didn't know what I wanted at the moment.
I heard a knock at my front door, when I looked over, I saw Carl walk in, giving me a faint smile as he sat down next to me. "I want to know what happened back there," he asks calmly not wanting to pies me off. "Rick, he was so quick to get his people back when I was at Grady with Beth, Carol and Noah, I'm sure there were times Rick fought to get you and his people out of situations, but he can't get out of my dad's keeps and shit," I sigh, "it doesn't seem that easy Jess, it looks like if my dad even looks at him the wrong way, it might be the other night all over again, and it'll be more than 10 other people seeing someone get killed."
I closed my eyes tightly, not wanting to see it happen all over again as I took a deep breath, "I know, but this time I will actually stop it.." I say softly turning, a bit to look at Carl more, "I could've stopped him from killing Abraham, but I didn't I was there and watched with the rest of you guys," I say softly tilting my head a bit as he pulled me close, laying my head against his chest, "don't say that about what happened, you were scared," he says softly resting his chin on my head.
I looked down as I pulled away and smiled a bit looking at him, "want to go check up on Judith?" He offers with a small smile, I smiled a bit as I nodded a bit.
We got up as we left the house as I locked it, "Jessica!" My dad called for me as I looked over, I sighed and looked to Carl, "you get there, I'll meet you there," I say as I smile to Carl as we part ways and I walk over to my dad, "yeah..?" I ask as I saw him sitting on a couch they forced outside, "I'm sure Rick told you about the guns, you got any idea?" He smiles looking at me.
I shook my head, "no, I don't know where they are or what happened to them." "One more thing." He says standing up, "Arot, watch Olivia, I need to have a private chat with Jess," he says as he placed his hand in between my shoulder blades, walking me away.
"I want to know," he smiles, crossing his arms, "what's between you and Carl?" I looked up at him and shrugged a bit, "I don't exactly know yet, we've liked each other for a whild, but we never said anything," I sigh, "I'm just gonna say now, go ahead and be with the kid, he is one bad ass, one eyed serial killer," he chuckled, "but, I better not find out you're pregnant and I better not see his tongue down your throat again." I laughed a bit rolling my eyes, "his tongue wasn't down my throat," I say as I walk away.
I walked into the church where they hid Judith from my dad from knowing about her as I shut the door behind me, "Carl?!" I called out as I walked towards the front as I saw him come out from behind a front chair holding his gun, "I thought you were a savior until you called for me," he says as I looked at Judith, "hey sweet girl," I smile walking over as I picked her up.

"I thought you'd hug me," he joked. I laughed a bit smiling to him as I hugged him, "happy?" She laughed rolling her eyes, "good enough," he laughed as I pull away.
I put Judith down as I looked over and saw some bibles, I picked it up, looking at it and sighed, "what?" He asked looking at me, "I used to believe in God, that's how my mom raised me," I say softly and looked to Carl, putting down the Bible, "but then the world went to shit and I forgot what it's like to believe," I sigh again as he looked at me, staying in the same spot, "I was raised that way, but I never really put time into it," he sighs looking down at Judith.
"Did she ever get to meet her mom..?" I say softly lookin at the young girl as I looked up and saw Carl shake his head, "she died right when she was born," he says as he sat down.
I walked over and sat down next to him as u laid my head on his shoulder as he placed his hand on my leg, we stayed there for hours and in complete silence, all until my dad left.
We soon brought Judith back to the house as I laid in Carl's bed as he gave the young girl to Michonne. Carl walked in and saw me and laughed a bit shaking his head, "just make yourself comfortable," he says and laid in the bed with me, "thanks, I will." I smile as he wrapped his arm around me.
"My dad said I can be with you.." I say softly looking up to him, "what does that mean for us then?" He asks looking down at me, "I don't know.." I say softly as my face started to blush a bit. He smiled and kissed me gently before pulling away, "will you be my girlfriend Jess..?" He asks softly. I smile and nod as I close my eyes and hid my face in his chest, "yes." I say softly as I slowly fell asleep in his arms.
