What Happens Next

My Thoughts

     The night went by fast as I laid there, I the only one awake with Carl asleep next to me.

     It's weird for me to have someone sleeping next to me, or with someone in the house.  Or even sleeping in a house.

     I looked to my right, seeing Carl sleeping calmly as I stared at the ceiling.  What might have happened if I did listen to Carol and went with them?  Maybe Carl would just see me as a friend, I'm no one that cool to be with someone like Carl.  I'm a nobody.

     I sighed softly as I reached over to grab Carl's hand, but what I grabbed in stead was definitely not a hand.

     I quickly moved my hand away and sat up and saw Carl jerk awake and looked to me.  "What happened..?" He asks looking up to me, "I uh.. I just grabbed your-" I say as my face went red as we went a bit red and sat up.

      "Sorry.." I say softly looking to him, "it's ok," he says looking to me, "I meant to grab your hand.. not your.." I stop as I gently turned my face to look at him, "Jess, it's ok," he says looking to me as I looked back to him.

We smiled a bit to each other as my face turned less red as he wrapped his arm around me, pulling me close and kissed my head. I smiled as I closed my eyes with my head against his chest as we laid back down in bed.

"I should shower," I smile looking up to him, he sighed looking back down to me with a small chuckle, "do you have to?" He asks as he moved onto his side, keeping one arm wrapped around me and place his arm down on the other side, some what pinning me.

"Well, no. I don't have to," I smile at him as I moved his hair out of his face, "good," he says softly as he kissed me. I closed my eyes, wrapping my arms around him as he moved himself more on top of me, placing his legs on both sides of me.

     I felt his hand start to feel up under my shirt as I slid my fingers through his hair as he pulled away looking down to me, "would you let me..?" He asks softly looking down at me.  I smile slightly and nod slowly as I looked back up at him as he started kissing me again, more passionate and rougher.

     He slid my shirt up as I slid my hands down onto the back of his neck as he pulled from the kiss, biting my lip and tugging on it as he moved down and kissed my neck, pulling my shirt up more, taking it off.

     I closed my eyes and leaned my head back as I felt his lips against my neck again, as I felt him nibble against my neck as I slid my hands down and started to pull his shirt up as a knock was heard at the door.

     "Shit.." I say softly as he pulled away and looked down at me, "just a minute..!" I yell softly, "I better see my kid and I better not see another kid in there, especially naked and on top of my god damn kid, in, one minute!"  I heard my dad say as I looked to Carl, "hide under the bed," I whisper as he got off me and quietly hid under my bed as I put my shirt back on.

     While putting on my shirt, I heard the door open as I looked over as I stood up, "what're you doing here?" I ask as I ruffle my hair and rub my eyes, "I wanted an early start!  So I left early, around 5 in the morning and got here, thought about spending the day with my kid, and enjoying one of my future summer homes!"  He chuckles, "you get dressed in some real clothes, maybe even shower.  I'm going to meet you outside."

     I watched my dad leave and sighed and looked down, "he's gone," I say softly as he came out from under the bed, "I'm sorry," he says as he stands up looking down at me, "for what?" I ask walking up to him, wrapping my arms around his waist, "I don't know, I feel like I was being too much.." he says softly looking down at me as I shook my head, "I would've stopped you if you were," I say softly, "I know," he nods as he pecked my lips, "I'm going to go shower," I smile to him as he nodded, "alright, I'm going to go look for my dad," he says as he pecks my lips again.

     I smile as I grab my clothes and go into the bathroom.  I put my clothes to change into and placed it on the counter as I undressed and dropped them down on the floor.  I turned the shower on, brushing my hair out as I waited for the water to heat up.  After, I got into the shower and stood under the hot water, feeling it run down my body.  I washed my hair and body until I was cleaned as I turned the water off and grabbed my towel as I started drying off.  I grabbed my clothes and put them on as I brushed my hair out and dried with the hair drier.

     I went into my room as I put on my socks and white, dirty converse.  I went down stairs and out onto the porch and see Carl coming up the stairs, "I guess my dad went on a run with Aaron," he says looking down to me, "I don't get why my dad is here," I say looking over seeing Negan swinging around Lucille, as he whistles, "I'm afraid he'll find Judith.." he says softly, "you can distract him, I-" I stop as I looked back hearing my dad stop at the steps on the porch as Carl turns around and looks back at my dad.

     "Carl, why don't you give me a better tour than your dad did.  Tell me all the things around the place, show me around your house, so I can go inside and do what I want, and introduce me to the people here, I'd love to get to know everyone," he smiles, "come along Jess, you can be with your boyfriend and me."

     We walked around Alexandria as I looked up to Carl, I sighed and looked down, "you ok..?"  He asks softly, I nodded looking back to him, "I'm fine,"  I look to him as I looked forward.  "You should go and find a way to hide Judith.." he whispers into my ear as I looked over to him, "would I even be able to?" I ask softly as I looked forward seeing my dad as we made it to Carl's house, "let's go inside and look around shall we?"  He smiled as he went up the steps and opened the door, swinging it open as we followed him inside.

     I looked over and saw Olivia as Carl walked over to her, "I'm going to see if I left something up stairs the other night." I say softly as I go to the stairs, "why were you here the other night?"  My dad stops me as I looked back to him, "I was hanging out with Carl the other night, I headed home when I slept, don't worry," I say looking at him, "oh, I'm definitely sure as well not worrying, I know sure as hell you two wont and will not do shit!  Or nothing good will come out of it!"  He smiled, "so stay down here, or we can both go upstairs, and you can give me the grand tour!" He smiles, "I actually like that idea, so go on, lead me upstairs."  He walks up to me and placed his hand in between my shoulder blades, gently pushing me up the stairs.

     I looked back to Carl as Negan suddenly stopped for a second and look back, "while me and my angel are upstairs, why don't you two make some lemonade!"  He laughs as we continued up the stairs as I looked back to my dad as he looked around, "this is one nice house," he smiles, "my balls sure have been tickled!" He laughs.  I looked back to him as I looked down the hall as he walked ahead of me and looked into a room, "this is obviously Rick and Michonne's room," he says as he shuts the door and opens the bathroom door, and looked at himself, "I'm definitely shaving this shit," he smiled and chuckled as I looked down as he looked back to me, "I'm sorry kiddo, too soon?"  He smiled.

     I looked away as he sighed, "shit.. sorry Jess," he looked at me as I shrugged.

     He shrugged as he looked down the hall and put a hand on the knob, "don't worry about that room, it's just a closet with coats and what not." I shrug trying to convince him not to open the door.  He turned to me as he walked over and stood in front of me, staring down, "for all I could know, there could be guns hidden in there, so I'm going to check it," he snaps as I looked up at him as he turned and opened the door to reveal the made up toddler room for young Judith as he smiled, "oh wow.. such a young girl," he says as he picks up Judith and looks to me, "you didn't want me to see this beautiful girl?"  He chuckled, "I haven't seen such a baby since your mother sent me a picture of you from when you were born," he chuckles as he smiles at Judith.

     I looked at my dad holding Judith as I closed my eyes as I turned and walked away.  I walked down the stairs and walked out the house as I slammed the door behind me.
