The Problem

Every word I said. Every syllable. I didn't mean it. So much shit happened yesterday. Violence, death, pain. It was all just earlier. It's harder to sleep at night.

I laid in the infirmary. I was sleeping away the pain that coursed through my body.

I woke up and looked around. Carl sat in a chair next to me passed out. I looked around and then down at my stomach and then to Dr. Carson who did some work.

"What happened?" I ask, "oh. You're up. You and the baby are fine. The placenta disconnected. No big deal. I put it back where it belongs." He says walking over, "isn't that the same thing that happened to Maggie?"
"Yes. Just like hers, yours didn't disconnect to far and it was a simple fix."
"So the baby is ok..?"
"Yeah, the baby is fine. Want me to check?"
"If it's no big deal."

Dr. Carson walked over and turned on the machine. I moved my shirt up when the scanner was placed on my stomach. I looked to the monitor and saw the baby and heard the heart beat. I smiled looking at it. When I felt a hand touch mine. I looked over and saw Carl leaning up and looking at the monitor. We both looked at the monitor at the baby as we held hands looking at the baby.

We left the infirmary and I saw the saviors gone. People were picking up dead bodies and stabbed them in the head, making sure they were dead. Most dead bodies were saviors.

I looked to Carl and smiled a bit. He kissed my forehead and walked away and helped.

"We're going to win this," Glenn smiles walking up to me, "yeah, we are," I nod as we smile up to each other. He put his arm around my shoulders. We smiled and walked away and started helping putting bodies in the back of a truck.

After the truck was filled, the car drove off with all the bodies that were in the back to burn them all.

"So the plan went as, well, planned," I smile standing in between Carl and Glenn, "yeah, Maggie escaped and called us on the walkie and got here as soon as we knew."

The sun was setting as we all smiled. We were winning, we weren't gonna let anything stop that. Then a gunshot went off.
