    Part 1: Reconnection

Sage's Pov (TWO YEARS LATER)

I always liked to think that everything has a reason behind it. Kidnappings happen usually for pay back or because someone has something you want so you take it instead. But out of everyone and everything in this world, my family was the one to have something very important stolen. My brother Odele, without us even knowing it he was the glue to this family. And without him we're all falling apart.

"How was school today, guys?" Daddy asks softly.

I glance up from my plate of food over to my daddy who watches me silently with his head tilted. When he finally takes notice that i don't want to talk about school he lets out a sigh before turning to face papa. His eyes shine with a sliver of happiness when papa places his hand ontop of his and pecks the side of his head lovingly making him smile slightly. Over the years I've noticed that its a very rare occasion when daddy smiles. I barely pay enough attention to capture one of those beautiful moments. My daddy is a very beautiful man, he let his hair grow out and decided to dye it blonde with baby blue highlights matching his dull ice blue eyes. At times I feel guilty. When he looks at blaze and I his eyes go dead almost, as if the sight of us brings nothing but sadness. But he plasters on a "happy" face for us, even though i know all we do is remind him of the day papa came back home balling his eyes out without our youngest triplet.

Looking over to my left i watch as my brother blaze glares at nothing while eating his yellow rice. Papa sighs softly when he looks at blaze before going back to eating his food. Blaze isn't much of a talker anymore. He hasn't spoken to anyone other than his wolf in seven years. It started slow. It went from one word answers to nods and shaking his head. As the years progressed he got angrier at the world and everyone in it. Just last year he snapped at a little boy who kept trying to play with him. Blaze pushed him into the dirt making the little pup cry. Papa marched outside to see what went on, but when he saw the young boy on the ground crying he snapped at blaze. He yelled at him about bullying and how he's meant to help his pack not hurt them while pulling up and brushing off the tiny pup. Blaze growled lowly at papa and glared at him with teary eyes before storming inside the house. Ever since then blaze avoided papa.

I never understood why blaze was so angry all the time, you'd think he would want to cling to the family that's still here. But this is how he copes, I guess.

A cleared throat has me looking away from my angry triplet and over to the man who birthed me. We stare directly into each other's eyes. His light baby blues piercing into my light hazel eyes. I give him a tiny, barely there smile and he smiles brightly in return.

< I love you daddy.> I whisper softly through our mind link and i watch silently as his eyes well up with tears making papa gaze at him with concern.

< I love you too baby boo.> Was his reply sounding as if he choked on a sob before turning to face papa with a bright smile I haven't seen in a while.

Dinner continues silently for another hour, papa and daddy watching Blaze and I with shining eyes as if we were the very reason for their existence. I ate my food slowly, enjoying the delicious meal before getting up from the table with my empty plate and grabbing everyone else's dirty dishes once they were done. I make my way into the kitchen, its not a huge room. Just enough to fit everything we need in it. I jump into washing the plates and silver ware, drying them and putting them in their proper places immediately after I'm done. I spring up in surprise when a pair of arms circle around my waist and pull me back into to a hard chest, my speeding heart rate slows down considerately though when papa's comforting scent fills my senses making me relax into him a little.
