"BLAZE!" I call out desperately my heart pounding wildly as I run through the forest. Not to long ago I was laying on the couch with an Ice pad across my chest waiting for Rhiver to come home when the door to our bedroom swung off it's hinges and Blaze ran out faster than lightning looking as pale as a ghost. He didn't say anything just shot out of the house and took off in to the forest. Daddy and Papa went out of the country for visiting purposes with papa's other half of his family so they don't even know they're gone. So I took it upon myself to go look for him and Rhiver as well. I have a feeling that he's in trouble and thats why Blaze took off like that.

"BLAZE! GIVE ME A HOWL IF YOU CAN HEAR ME!" I yell before going quiet trying to listen out for him. I've been out here for a little over twenty minutes and Malachi is going off the charts with panic right now. He keeps whimpering and whining about Rhiver and Blaze and it's putting me on edge. What's going on? He wouldn't even answer me with sense he just kept on whining and clawing to get out.

As I was walking I caught the scent of my brothers and a new scent. The smell of the new male causes my body to stiffen. It smells of ill intent and anger, I take in a deeper sniff and howl with worry from the scent of fear lingering with Rhiver's. With fear creeping in to my veins I run in the direction the scents lead when Blaze answers with an anguish howl. I come to a stop when I hear foot steps nearing my direction. I take a short whiff in the direction of the approaching foot steps and quickly rush over when I catch the scent of Blaze.

Coming over a big hill I spot Blaze carrying a naked, still Rhiver. Blaze has tears streaking down his cheek as he rubs Rhiver's back.

"Bubba?" Blaze stops in his place and he looks over at me instantly. His eyes water more before he quickly walks over to me and lays his head on my shoulder with the sleeping Rhiver pressed between us. My brows furrow in concern and confusion as I pull them both tightly to me.

"I couldn't protect him, Sage. I let him down..." Blaze moans in agony

Protect him? From what?

Rhiver was raped. Blaze is taking all of the blame. Whispers a union of voices, the voices I had since I was young.

"Oh my goddess." I exclaim in a whisper no wonder Malachi was so distressed

Blaze's body begins to shake from him holding back from crying and Rhiver lets out a tired groan before nuzzling in to Blaze's shoulder and settling back down with a huff.

"Blaze what happened is not your fault. You saved him, he's here isn't he?" I say while caressing his back. Blaze doesn't answer back he just quietly stands there with his head on my shoulder.

"Rhiver wanted to go home so he could bathe." Blaze announces after pulling away from our embrace.

"When we get home, I know you're going to want to be with him but I believe what's best is to remind him of how much we love him before leaving him to lick his wounds so he can get a grasp of the reality. Suffocating him won't do any good." I propose while grabbing hold of Blaze's hand and guiding him back to the pack house. The walk was quiet. Blaze kept Rhiver held tightly against him as he held onto my arm.

I didn't know what to do. Or say. I felt useless for once. I'm usually able to help those that are in distress but for once the goddess isn't helping me out here, I can't even feel the soft whispers I get when I'm around suffering people. It guides me when I'm trying to help soothe the person. If I don't know exactly what is the cause of the pain the whispers tell me not to ask the person in return the whispers tell me the problem and then give me guidelines on what to say and do to comfort them. But once the whispers told me what happened with Rhiver and Blaze it just cut off. I can still feel the gentle pressure in the back of my head where the whispers lay so they're still there. They are just quiet.
