                          "Mommy!"

Blinking open my eyes I feel my brows scrunch in confusion at the scenery around me. Where am I? I scan my eyes around the huge meadow, taking note of the fact that there are no trees around. The land stretched on for miles with hills and valleys, it was a beautiful thing to see. I turned around slowly hearing loud laughs and happy voices arouse from behind. The pack was here. Running around horse playing, swimming in the clear giant lake that laid in the middle of a deep valley. A small hand grips on to my shirt and tugs pulling my attention away from the colorful scene down to a little girl.

She smiles up to me excitedly her two front teeth missing from the radiant smile making my chest warm at the sight. I squat down so I'm face to face with her and she jumps on to me, wrapping her tiny arms around my neck. I knew automatically that this was my daughter Wynter. Her long dark brown hair caressing my cheek as a small breeze blows through the valley. I pull back from the hug and lovingly brush back her bangs from her eyes catching sight of yellowish-green eyes shining up at me. She bounces up and down before running around me with a yip.

"Mama! Come play!" She chants then races off to the crowd of people getting swooped up by Blaze who tosses her into the air with a deep laugh. It feels as if my breath was stolen from me at the display, Wynter giggling wildly as Blaze runs around with her in his arms. Right as Blaze set Wynter down onto the ground again four other children run over and tackle her to the ground, yipping and squealing in delight. A smile pulled at my lips when I recognized each one as my pups, all of them running away from their fathers as Sage joined and he and Blaze played chase. Wynter looked into my direction and waved me over with zest before taking off again when Sage dove at her missing her by just an inch. I chuckle at their game eager to join in.

I take a step over to the party with pep in my step. As I take my second step over a loud clap of thunder rings through the meadow my body freezing in place. Just as the thunder clap settled a flash of lightening crashed, a blinding white light filling the air before disappearing. Everyone was standing froze, still. It was deathly silent aside from the rumbles from the sudden storm. Another crash of lightening the scene changed again. There was no sun, no laughter from the pack or my children. It was dark with occasional lightening flash lighting the valley enough from me to see lots of lumps on the ground. Nausea rolled over me in waves as I walked through the field passing the members of the pack who were just up and playing. Having the times of their lives. My eyes well up with tears at the deaths of my family. Throats torn out, stomachs split open, even heads were decapitated. My heart hammered in my chest with anxiety when I remembered my mates and pups. I made my way through the bodies my hands clammy and shaky as I neared the lake.

I finally make it to the shore of the lake, blood draining in to the lake from a large clump of bodies a few feet a head of me.

Please don't be them.

Please don't be my mates.

Please don't be my babies.

My legs collapse once I finally made it to the pile of corpses. Tears streaming silently down my cheeks as I pull one of my boys from underneath Blaze who was shifted in to his wolf form. I gently caress the boy's face pressing a soft kiss to his nose. I pulled each of my kids from under their dads, brushing their hair away from their pale faces before kissing their cheeks and laying them next to each other. Each time I had to grab a cold hand was another hard punch to my gut, my strength weakening making it very hard to not burst out into sobs. I had all five of my babies laid out, fixed up to the best of ability I turned back to my mates. A muffled sob escapes as I caress Sages hair and face, I turn to Blaze and my control snapped. I sob loudly as I pull Blaze's heavy body onto my lap running my hand through his black fur.
