 Aaron's Pov

"Aaron please, I do not want you to put your family at risk. All I need is for you to allow my non-fighters to hide here until I can return with my mates." Sage complains tiredly

I squat down in front of the small wolf a feeling of protectiveness surging through me, "Sage. Listen. You are my son. Not by blood but by love. I have known you and your family for years now - and you are the one who brought back Coda. I want to return the favor by helping bring back your mates. Your non-fighters may stay here and I will have my top fighters here to guard your pack members and your pups but I will not negotiate me going with you. That's final." My voice was firm but I knew that I needed him to understand.

This man saved my child. I would give my life for him and his family. Sage came here with the request that I allow his members to reside in my home but he is going to get a lot more than that.

"Ok." He sighed softly, " Ok. I will send for my members. They should be here soon. All I need to do now is contact Roger and let him know that Rhiver and Blaze were taken." Sage sifted his fingers through his brown hair pacing back and forth inside the room.

"I could do that for you. He is my brother after all." I suggested gaining a grateful glance from him.

"Thank you. I don't think I can tell another person. I feel like such a failure. You should've seen my parents' faces when I after the meeting. I might as well of said that my brothers died. " I reached out and placed my hand in front of Sage which interrupted his pacing. Sage looked up at me with red teary eyes. My heart clenched at the sight.

"Do not feel this way. We will get your mates back sage, I can promise you that. The goddess will all was find a way to make things right.  Now, stop with this mindset. You must go retrieve your members and I must go inform my brother. I hope you know that you will be gaining an extra set of warrior golems since Rhiver was a son to him." I gently guided Sage to the entrance of the building being sure to not hurt him with my gigantic hand. Once we made it outside I made my way over to the small mud building that was made for My family and I.

"Honey no. You can't go around messing around in the woods. The air is stiff with danger, I can't have you out there." Hearing my wife's scolding brought a soft smile to my lips as I entered the hut.

"But mama, Coda goes in the woods! I want to go in there too!" I watched the exchange between my six-year old and her mother, knowing that Tiana would very much put an end to her curiousness.

"Sasha. I will not tell you again. You need to stay within the sights of our warriors until the air is calm. I will not have you getting hurt, young lady. I'm sure your father will say the same. It is not because we are mean. Or because we want to make your life boring. It is because you are our baby. You are mommy's love pearl and I do not want to lose you sweetie." Stepping up behind her I silently wrap my arms around her waist and press a kiss against her head.

"That's right, Sas. You are our baby. You wouldn't want us to be sad would you?" Sasha quickly shakes her head no, " Then listen to your mother. You'll be able to explore the woods soon but for now you have to stay here, my little princess."

Tiana nodded along leaning her head back against my chest, "Now go find your brother, sweetheart. I think he was getting attacked by the younglings down by the pond." Sasha squealed in delight before rushing out of the door. I chuckled softly at her enthusiasm then turned to face my wife who was gazing at me sadly.

"You know she is just like him." My lips pulled in to a thin line.

"A bit. She is like both of them." I replied gravelly.
