"Yes... can you handle the truth, princess?"
Harry walks up the stairs slowly, ring clad fingers buttoning up a black shirt. I see a hint of a butterfly tattoo just below his chest, before it dissappears.
He's wearing black skinny jeans with black boots and his damp curly hair rests on his shoulders."How did you shower and change that quickly?" Roxy asks the question that is floating around in my mind.
I'm happy to see that the kind look has returned to her eyes.
Harry rolls his eyes and stops in front of me. "That's not the point. The point is, is that I was going to keep the truth from you Ellie, but seeing as you're already a drug addict, it won't hurt for you to know."
Out of the corner of my eye I see Roxy looking between us with a confused look on her face.
Harry's words swirl through my mind and I feel myself getting angry. I want so badly to tell his assumptuous ass off already but, I want to know the truth first.
Seeing that I have nothing to say, Harry continues talking.
"You are correct princess. I am the leader of the Pythons. We are the biggest gang of the entire Eastern Shore. Unfortunately enough, one of my members betrayed me and is now working with a rival gang, The Demons. Though we are stronger than them, Theo's betrayal and inside knowledge are currently causing a bit of a problem. Hence why we are currently situated in this safe house."
I look at Harry blankly. Gang leader? When I found him behind a dumpster unconscious and bleeding he certainly didn't seem like the gang leader type. Especially considering how panicky and twitchy he was when he first woke up in my apartment.
Roxy asserts herself into the conversation. "What he's not telling you is that Theo used to be the leader of The Pythons and Harry was his number 2, until we all voted for Harry to take over."
Harry glares at her. "Shut the fuck up Roxy, this outsider doesn't need to know all of the gang's inside info."
Roxy is about to respond but before she can, I interrupt.
I'd like to say that I'm a nice person. I enjoy being kind to others and I like helping people. But I have this problem where I let all of my anger and frustration build up and sometimes in the end, the wrong people get told off.
In this case, Harry is the right person.
"I am so fucking sick and tired of your bullshit." Roxy looks at me with wide eyes but my attention is on the curly headed prick.
"First of all, I'm not a fucking drug addict. I have a heart condition that I don't tend to talk about with stupid Austin Powers wannabes. Second of all, I didn't ask for this. I was just being a good samaritan and helping your sorry ass, and the thanks I get is a split lip! Which still stings by the fucking way. And finally, I could give two fucks about you being the leader of a gang. The only person who cares about my wellbeing is Liam and you broke my phone so I can't even call him! I don't even know where the fuck I am! And now my life is in danger because of you? Fuck you."
