New character! ^^
Josie Stellanos played by Kehlani!
So Josie doesn't exactly match kehlani, like their eye color is different and kehlani is of mixed race while Josie is all black, so this is just an example of how Josie looks overall.
"Just a minute! I'll be there in a minute!"
Two hours pass, and now we're all standing on the porch of Zayn's surprisingly homey looking house.
I'm talking the whole white picket fence, a big green front lawn, a big green backyard, a pool, and a tree in the yard that would be perfect for a tree house. The only thing that's missing is the cookie cutter neighborhood. The house is smack dab in the middle of the woods with no other houses in sight. The house is a tan and burgundy color and it's about three stories high.
No one has said a word since we pulled up, and I think that we're just all in shock. Zayn literally fits the criteria of a rugged gang member, and never in a million years did any of us think he would own a house like this.
I guess the saying, 'don't judge a book by its cover' applies to this situation.
He ignored our shocked expressions and rang the front doorbell. A feminine voice calls out, telling us to wait, surprising me even further.
What exactly is going on???
The door swings open and we're face to face with a petite, but heavily pregnant girl.
If my jaw could drop any further, it'd be on the ground.
"Baby, you're home!" The short African-American woman seizes Zayn by the neck and hugs him close to her. Well, as close as her pregnant stomach will allow.
His features relax as he melts into her embrace, a sort of serene calm overtaking his aura. "I missed you, pumpkin. I missed you three so, so much."
Is fate out to get me or something? I know this isn't about me, but I can't help the hot stab of emotion that pulses through me. Not only is the beautiful woman pregnant, but she's having twins. It's like the universe is purposely trying to show me that this is something I'll never have.
I look away as they wrap themselves in each other like they haven't seen each other in years, while we all stare on awkwardly. At least I feel awkward, like I'm intruding on a private moment.
After a searing kiss between the two, Zayn pulls away looking the happiest I've ever seen him.
"Guys, this is my wife, Josie. Josie, these are the friends that I was telling you about."
She faces us and we all get a better look at her. Her skin is a flawless caramel brown, her bright grey eyes are almost cat like but kind, and her black hair flows down her back in big soft looking curls. She absentmindedly places a hand on her stomach as she beams at us, putting even more emphasis on her glowing beauty.
"It's finally nice to meet all of you! Come on in out of the cold and make yourselves comfortable!"
Everyone says their own greetings back to her as well, before we enter the house.
When we first walk in, the front alcove is spacious and a set of stairs sits to the left. Josie begins to tell us where we will all be sleeping, but I don't really pay attention. My focus is on the pictures that litter the walls.
Pictures of her and Zayn at an amusement park, in a photo booth, and even a picture of them dressed up in a courthouse looking radiant. That must be their wedding picture then.
I don't notice that everyone has cleared out and gone their own separate ways until Harry's voice brings me back to reality.
"What?" I ask, hoping he'll repeat what he said.
