Ellie's pov
I'm just beginningto fall asleep when I hear it. A small thud and the sound of someone quietly cursing. Now alert, I sit up and stare at the open door. "Whose there? Show yourself." I feel anxious, especially with not having a weapon on me. There's a bit of rustling and I prepare myself for the worse.
The first thing I see is a headfull of thick, messy, curly hair.
Sighing in relief, my tense body relaxes at the sight of Harry. "What are you doing here? The nurses will kick you out if you get caught, Harry." He grins and strides into the room like he owns the place. "Chillax El, the nurses love me." Rolling my eyes, I don't know whether to laugh or scold him.
Looking along his lean body, I notice that his arms are hidden from me. "Why are your arms behind your back? What are you hiding, Styles?" His last name sounds weird on my lips but I'm satisfied with the look of confusion on his face. "Who told you my last name? Only a few select people know it." Raising an eyebrow, it's my turn to smirk. "Well I guess I'm one of those few because Niall told me."
He sighs and shakes his head. "Of course he did." Removing his arms from behind his back, and produces a milkshake.
Laughing, I shake my head in disbelief. All the secrecy for this? "When did you find time to go to Five Guys?" He shrugs, "Just now, actually. The nurses told me that you couldn't have solid food yet so I thought hey, why not buy you your favorite chocolate chip milkshake?" I squint my eyes at him as he smugly walks over to me, the milkshake in his outstretched hand.
"How do you know my favorite flavor of milkshake?"
"Liam told me."
"...well you could've just asked me yourself."
"If I had done that princess, the element of surprise would have been lost."
Trying to hide my giddy smile, I carefully take the cold cup from his long fingers. "Thank you, Harry"
His piercing emerald eyes sparkle in the dim lighting. "You're welcome, El."
I begin to sip the ice cold beverage in delight at the favored taste. The nurses are nice, but all they've been giving me is watery jello and lukewarm apple juice.
Thoroughly enjoying my drink, I don't even notice what Harry is doing until I just happen to look up. The straw pops out of my mouth at the sight in front of me.
Harry has his back to me as he's gathering his long thick curls into a bun.
What he's doing sounds simple, but visually, it's the best thing to watch. His back muscles are contracting to reach his hair, and he runs his long, ring clad fingers through it until it's tame enough to put up. Also, his black long sleeve shirt rides up just enough to expose a strip of milky skin. I don't have time to control myself before he turns around and smirks at me.
"Enjoying the view, yeah?"
My entire face heats up as my eyes dart away in embarrassment. "I don't know what you're talking about." I say this as innocently as I can but I know he can see right through me. Before he can say anything else to further embarrass me, I change the subject.
"So, Harry, I've been thinking and I feel as if I barley know you despite everything so... let's play 20 questions."
He raises his eyebrows in surprise. "Twenty questions? We're hardly children, El." Rolling my eyes, I motion for him to sit down. "Come on, it'll be fun. It will kind of be like starting over for us. I mean, well, we didnt exactly meet each other normally, y'know." After a moment of thinking, Harry reluctantly sits down in the chair next to my bed. I prop myself up a little so that I'm not awkwardly laying down.
