^ Heres a pic of what the mansion kind of looks like (minus the fire).
•Trigger Warning•
I'm lost.
When I got out of the car, I looked around for the other cars but they were nowhere near me. I waited a beat longer before following Harry's footprints in the mud. His single footprints eventually turned into multiple, until they suddenly cut off. That's when I realized that I was (am) utterly screwed.
"Great job Ellie." I mumble under my breath.
I'm not sure which way to go and I feel like I'm wasting time, so I just pick a random direction and walk in it.
Not a very smart choice, but it's the best I can come up with, especially in the black of night.
As I walk, I curse myself for not bringing a flashlight. Sure someone might see me but at least I would be able to see where I'm going.
Just as I'm about to give up and turn back, I see a faint light up ahead. Exhaling in relief, I quicken my pace.
The trees begin to thin out, and I slow down so I won't be spotted. Up ahead, with blazing lights, is a house. Well, house is an understatement. It's really a giant golden white mansion, with about 50 men guarding the perimeter. The mansion sits on a hill, allowing a clear view of its entirety. From how some of the men are dressed, I recognize them as the Demons gang members. Every door is wide open, and some kind of rap song plays loud enough for me to hear at the distance I'm at. The blatant show of mockery tells me one thing.
Theo knows that we're here.
The only way that Theo could possibly know this, means that Liam didn't succeed in killing him. Theo knows that I would come for Liam. That we would come for Liam.
Nerves prickle through my body as I quickly take the gun from the waistband of my pants and click the saftey off. The mansion is basically vibrating with the base from the rap song, but the beefy looking guards seem to be unaffected.
There is no way that I'm getting in there through the front door. In fact, that's exactly what Theo wants. It's the most obvious trap I've ever seen and I'm not impressed by his lack of intelligence.
I remember, from the last time, that Zayn and I were in some kind of underground basement. When we escaped, before I passed out, I remember that there were many hallway like tunnels. If I can find another way to get into that part of their 'basecamp' then I might have a real shot at getting Liam out alive.
If he's not already dead.
I abandon that thought as soon as it appears and try to stay positive. Theo is thee type of person who likes to parade his prey around, so Liam should still be alive.
I am so focused on figuring out how I'm going to approach the underground entrance, that I don't hear the snap of twigs from behind me. I don't notice the sudden heavy shadow over my shoulder until it's too late.
The sharp prick of a needle pierces through the skin of my neck and I have no chance to fight before the darkness swallows me whole.
***
Just like the last time I was here, I wake up tied to a chair along with a killer headache. I try to stay calm as I come to my senses and take stock of the room I'm in.This time instead of the basement, I'm in a bedroom. A very messy, very lived in bedroom. The blue walls are dull and clothes litter the floor in careless heaps. My entire body is encased in rope and I'm anchored to a random ass recliner chair.
Where the hell am I?
Someone has taken my hair out of its french braid, allowing my dark tresses to flow down my back in waves. I feel a bit creeped out that someone has touched my hair, but I just ignore it and figure out how to escape. I try to wiggle out the hidden switchblade from my shoe only to find that it's gone.
