¤Trigger Warning¤
Daria's pov
When a baby is born into the world, the first thing you hear is the immediate crying. Although a harsh sound, it signals that the baby is okay. It is the first thing that parents listen for so they can get that relief from their healthy baby.
When Cecilia delivers Josie's first baby, there is only silence.
I want to cry at the intensity of the situation, but I know that if I slip up even a little, something terrible could happen. I can't let my emotions overtake the situation.
She hands me the warm baby without hesitation, and I know we talked about this beforehand, but my heart constricts in my chest as I look down at his little face. The baby is so tiny, it feels like I'm holding a cloud.
I clean blood and fluids off of him the best that I can, and I wrap him tightly in one of the towels. As I'm making sure he's warm enough, I am relieved to see that his tiny chest moving up and down. That shows me that he's at least breathing on his own. As soon as I place him down, I turn around and Cecilia is already putting the next tiny baby in my arms.
I repeat the same process, but when I position them on the countertop next to each other, Cecilia scoops them both up, with newly sterilized hands, and immediately brings them to Josie.
Josie is laying on the kitchen table, her bottom half covered by a thick quilt, but I can still see the dark blood that is continuously spreading. She looks weak, but she holds out her arms for her babies regardless.
Both babies have dark hair and dark tan skin which she weakly coos at. Josie then hugs them close to her chest as tears begin to fall down her face.
"Take care of your daddy for me, okay? I will always love you both." She looks up at the both of us. "This one," She nods to the baby in her left arm. "will be called Mateo and this one," she motions to the baby on the right. "will be called Javadd. Z-zayn can decide on their middle names."
"Why don't you tell him yourself, honey? The ambulance will be here any minute and you will be fine." Cecilia's voice sounds shaky and thick with sadness. The sight of the usually strong woman crumbling in front of me, makes it clear that Josie will not be okay.
Shaking her head sadly, Josie snuggles in closer with her small babies. "Tell Zayn that I love him, okay?"
By now, all of us are crying as the situation turns bleak.
And by the time blue and red lights finally begin to flash through the windows, Josie's unconscious form is left holding dearly onto her premature twins.

Ellie's povAs soon as I'm free, I rip the Python necklace from around my neck, and with a flick of my wrist, a thin blade slides out.
This happens within the span of 5 seconds, but it seems like hours as I watch Theo point his loaded gun at Harry.
Without hesitation, I lunge onto Theo's back and plunge the thin knife into the soft flesh of his neck. He shouts out, "You bitch!" And immediately tries to dislodge my grip as he falls to his knees.
His grip on the gun loosens, and he eventually drops it, instead now using both hands to try and fight me off.
Everyone else urgently springs into action. I guess they were trying to get free of their ropes as well, for mostly everyone is up and fighting the goons that have come back into the room. But I can no longer concentrate on them because this blade is small and Theo is really beginning to fight back.
