Chapter 17 - White Lies

Leo pov

She keep startle everytimes I mention her name. First she chokes, then she drop the glass, next things she curse and mock me freely just because I call out her name. What is her issue?

"Get lost..!" Now she scream like a mad man.

"Aries.." I'll lost my patient soon if she continue her tantrum.

"If you don't get lost from my sight right now, I'll make you." She threaten me as she raise her middle finger confidently in my view.

I never meet a girl as rude as her in my whole life. She's the oposite of Ryan. Ryan is cheerful and polite. But this sister is arrogant and rude.

"Horrible personality." I sigh heavily.

She takes the cuhsion and throw it to me. Seeing I didn't leave, she take the remort control and throw again. I let it hit my chest.

The raging anger show clearly in her face as she keep throwing things hitting me here and there. I let her. But when she grab on the coffee table trying to flip the furniture apart, I move instantly and pin her down the couch.

"Enough." I use my outhority tone and she shrink silently.

I get off her after confirming she end her tantrum and sit along on the couch. She sit properly and start mocking me again.

"I hate you." There she go again. Mumbling about her well-known feeling toward me.

"You are damn stubborn, arrogant, rude, uncivil ---"

Before I could finish my sentence she raise her hand and cover both of her ears then start humming out loud. "La la la la la la la la la."

This is too much. This is too childish. This is crazy. I get closer to her and pull her hand down showing her ears again. She struggle a bit but I secure her with all my effort.

"Aries.. let it go. You need to accept it. He's gone. You can't deny the truth forever." My voice softer as her tears lingering around her eyes waiting to fall down.

"Why did you let him die." She starts tearing up and cry.

"I'm sorry."

"You let him die." Her voice fade aways as her cry and sob take over her body.

"I'm sorry." I pull her in my embrace and comfort her again.

I should have look harder. If I found her sooner she'll never be this heart throbing. I let Ryan down again. That was his last wish and I couldn't even fullfil it properly.

"Who kill him?" She speaks between her tears.

I didn't answer but keep stroking her back instead.

"Who?"

I'm speechless.

"Who?" Her voice raise.

How should I answer her. I don't have a clue. Should I tell her the truth..? But what if she kill him? No that can not be. I need to prevent that.

"Its settle. We caught the culpit. His in jail now." I lie so calmly its hard to tell. I am good at lying.

"Really?"

"Its settle." How I wish its was settle. I didn't know who ambush us? Who try to kill us? Who leak the information? I got nothing.

"Is Ryan a good CPO?"

"He is far from good. He's fantastic in his job."

"Is that why he guards the disc?"

I full her from my chest and stare at her teary face. "What disc?"

"He return home that day with few piece of dics. He guard it too much saying it is important. I don't know. But is it that important?"

"Arr.. the disc.." I fake a smile.

"What happen to the disc? Its safe right?"

I nod after a while. "It is. We got it."

I push her and distant myself before she catch my lie. I raise and tidy up the mess she made just now. I need to stay calm. I need to make sure she never suspect anything.

"Leo.." She calls all the sudden.

I look at her and frown. "What is it?"

"You'll never lie right?"

She's the opposite of Ryan but their eyes basically the same. Their eyes full of sincerity its troubling me again.

"You'll never lie right?" She repeated herself.

I smile half heart and nod before resuming my task.

"Good." She sigh in relief. "But If you lie.. I'll kill you."She warns me.

"I never know Aries was born to kill a Leo." I mumble alone.

I let her with her thought cause my head occupied with the white lies I just made. I need to process faster than before. I need to settle this before Aries know I'm lying. I don't want her to kill me.
