Megan cuddles closer to me, even though it hurts, we both try to ignore it.

"Megan, I want you to know one thing" I start out. "Those thoughts are not your fault. It's not your fault, you let them get to you. It's not your fault, you hit me. It's not your fault that your dad hit you. It's not your fault that he threw you out. All of this is your dads fault. Not yours".

Megan is shaking. She is crying.

"And don't you think comming out, was the cause of this. Sooner or later, your father would have seen that you couldn't be just like him. That you couldn't live up to his homophobic ideals. Yes, partly he was angry at you for contradicting the way he thinks (which in turn contradicts with how the rest of the world thinks) -but also, he lost controll of himself. Again, this is not your fault. Your father is the one to blame. He can't have a kid and then not learn to control himself, if that kid doesn't end up exactly like he wants -cause that's not gonna happen anyway".

Megan looks up at me. "But my father is a good man, I'm sure of it. He just needs time to see that this is something he can't change about me. I'm sure that if I just go back to him and appologizes, everything will go back to the way it was".

I look at her in shock. The Stocholm syndrome. I have heard about it. But I thought Megan was harder to convince than that. "Megan, your dad beat you up. When a parent beats their kid, just because he or she can't learn to accept their kids being, there is something seriously wrong with that parent as a human. You're not the one who's going to appologize. It's him. And he doesn't just owe you an appology. Megan, we have to go to the police with this. He has broken the law".

Megan looks at me in fear, but I interrupt her before she can even defend her dad any more. "You have to do it. Yes, he is your biological father, but is he your father in your heart? Think back to all the memories, Megan. And then at what he did to you now. I can say it as many times as I like, but you have to see it for yourself".

Megan takes a deep breath to calm herself down. I wait for her to say something, hoping that she won't get angry at me, since she's seems to be on her dad's side. "Yeah, maybe you're right" She finally mumbles. I let out my breath.

"That's brave of you to say Megan. It's hard to go against someone you have had a so strong relationship with for so long, but I really hope you see that what he did to you was bad and should be treated like a crime against your freedom to be just who you are -queer or not". I try to change the topic feeling that I'm just feeding her with my words. It's like I can't say it enough times. She won't fully understand, like she's in this haze of shock.

"what about your mum?" I ask. Once I think of it, it's weird that Megan haven't mention her. "I asked her if she could tell my dad for me. He said to her that he wished he were closer to me. He wanted some alone time with me and sent my mom off to stay at her sister's".

"So she doesn't know any of this?". Megan looks down and shakes her head. "Then you have to tell her" I say determinded. This is all crazy. "Can you tell my sister? I want her to tell it to mum". "Yes, what's her number?". Megan hands me her phone.

I turn on the speaker. "Hi, what's up sis?". "Uhm it's not Megan  -it's Kristy, a friend of her's". "Oh, is something up? Since you're calling me, I mean?" She replies. "Yes, Megan came out to your parents a couple weeks ago..." I say and tell her the recent happenings.

What follows after, rushes by so fast I can't prosess it. Megans' sister enters the room running and hugs Megan thight. Leila has already called the police. As I whatch, I think of how incredibly lucky Megan is that she has a sister like Leila, that gets their own dad arrested, for Megan. Without a question.

Sometime later, Megans mum and aunt arrives. They are all crying and hugging each other. I can see that the chaos is tiring Megan and just as she's put in her own bed and taken away, she blacks out. The silence that follows feels unntaural. Like I have never witnessed total silence before.

After a while, Leila enters the room. "Kristy. We finally meet" she says and sends me a smile. "Megan has told me a lot about you. How she ignored you because she was afraid of loving you". I don't know what to say. Megan has told her sister about me?? "She kept it all in her diary. -And then mum found it, and Megan had to tell her."

I can feel the love Leila has for Megan and whished it was the same between me and Maya. "Is Megan gonna be okay?" I ask. "Yes, the doctors said that she is just badly bruised, she will have to stay here for about a month, mainly to recover. No opperations or broken bones. Fourtunately. She asked if she could share the room with you. Is it okay?".

I smile. "Of cource".

A/N

Hi, so the whole chapter "before" became really long. I had to split it (and this became a lot longer than planned too). I really hope you like this and nothing is offensive in any way. I haven't witnessed parental abuse in any way, myself, and I really hope you don't feel like this was a touchy subject to include in the book or that I portrayed anything in a wrong way.

If anything happens to you, tell someone you trust. Tell the police.  Never think there is something wrong with you. Never think that you have to appologize, if someone does something wrong to you.

I really hope you're doing well and that this book is at least 1/2 of you daily portion of gay🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

Bye,

Me^_~

PS: I'm currently going through the book to edit it. Check misspellings and incorrect English etc. I started this book at least 3 years ago, so the earliest chapters are crap. I promise (like always) that I won't change the action and the book will stay exactly the same -just better written ;) It will be a lot of updates and notifications, but remember that this is the latest chapter, so you can choose weather or not you want to read the edited version. (if you don't want to, just be alert when I post part 30, 31 or 32 -then it's new stuff).
