VIC'S POV

Ever since that phone call, I texted (Y/N). She promised me one last Skype call before she'd give up on me forever. I opened my laptop on the bus while the guys were out and used up her promised. I just couldn't wait to see her again. The mistake I made won't leave me alone. I destroyed what I loved.

"Hi." She waved, slightly smiling. I waved gently back, mouth closed smile. "How's touring?" Oh, so now she cared.

"It's a blast, but I can definitely feel something missing." I laughed softly.

"Well, you and I got lost along the way." She shrugged.

"You seem happy." I smiled, tired eyes.

"I am!" She smiled wide and truly. "I'm finally getting out of this hell hole!"

"Oh, where you goin'?" I asked her.

"I'm moving down to Palm Springs with some girlfriends from high school." (Y/N) explained.

"That's awesome. I'm glad." I nodded in approval.

"I can't wait." She shook her head and laughed gently, her smile softening.

"I hate that this is our last call." I sighed unhappily.

"Well..." She hesitated. "If something out of the ordinary happens to either of us...we'll call." She caved, I smiled.

"That sounds amazing." I answered.

"Well, that's it for me then." (Y/N) shrugged. I felt like I was losing.

"I want you to promise me." I began. "If you don't see me anywhere, like a front page or something, find a way to say that you knew me." I smiled.

"Big-headedness again." She smirked.

"Maybe." I whispered. "I mean...if you don't find me at all I won't care." I stuttered.

"Calm down, Vic. Have a nice life." She said gently. No...stay...with me.

"Yeah, you, too (Y/N)." My voice cracked as the screen went black.

I lost her.
