Blood

I gripped the steering wheel as tightly as I possibly could. My knuckles were white and starting to hurt but I couldn't even be bothered to care. I didn't need any of this. I never asked for any of this. I never asked Austin to cheat on me, or for Chris to think that he loved me when I didn't love him or even when Tony told me about his feelings, I never asked for it.

"I hate you for the sacrifices you made for me.

I hate you for every time you ever bled for me.

I hate you for the way you smile when you look at me.

I hate you for never taking control of me.

I hate you for always saving me from myself .

I hate you for always choosing me and not someone else.

I hate you for always pulling me back from the edge.

I hate you for every kind word you ever said," I scream in my car as the thoughts just keep entering my head.

All I wanted was to be happy. All I wanted was someone to share my life with. I didn't want drama. I didn't want pain or someone that would lie to me. I just wanted to move on with my life as easily as possible. This was not how I thought my life was going to go.

My phone started ringing and I quickly answered, hoping it was Tony asking me if was on my way or just showing that he still cared. "Hello?"

"Uh, Pearce... or uh... Rory," a voice asked.

I thought for a minute and realized it was Ghost. I sighed and turned the music down in my car. "Hey Ghost, what can I do for you?"

"Well, um, it's not me that needs help," he answered hesitantly.

I close my eyes for a minute and take a breath. "Okay, so who needs my help."

"It's Chris," he quickly says. "I've never seen him like this and it's starting to worry the band and scare his girlfriend."

I resist the urge to laugh. "Chris isn't a scary person," I sigh.

"Yeah, well, you should see him now," another voice snaps.

I want to laugh at Balz's attitude but I know I shouldn't. "Okay, well what do you want me to do?"

"Please come back," Ricky begs. "I don't know what you said to him at some point but holy shit, he's a mess."

"I'm sorry guys, but I won't tolerate the behavior that I witnessed with Austin," I groan. I want to go back to them and make sure Chris is okay but he has a girlfriend for that.

"I DON'T CARE, I JUST WANT YOU OFF THIS FUCKING BUS," a voice screamed in the background of the call.

I flinched from hearing it and I could hear a girl's sobs. "I guess that was him," I whispered.

"Yeah," Ghost mumbled.

"WHO'S ON THE PHONE?! WE HAVE SOUND CHECK GUYS, COME ON! AND SOMEONE CALL JOSH, I WANT HIM OUT HERE, YESTERDAY!," he screamed once more.

I took a deep breath and let it go before turning around and heading back to my house to grab my bag that I hadn't even unpacked yet. "Put me on speaker," I demanded.

"Do what now," Balz asked. "You're begging to be torn apart."

I rolled my eyes, "He knows better."

"Alright, here goes nothing," Ricky muttered. "Hey Chris, come here for a minute, man!"

"WHAT?!"
