Rory's POV - 2 Months Later:
"Do I look okay," I asked Austin nervously. Tony and Jaxin haven't seen me since finding out the news and I didn't want to tell them over the phone. Only Nat knew because she came to visit me at work a few days ago.
Austin laughed and nodded, "Baby, you look great!"
I took another look in the full length mirror and sighed. I had to start wearing pregnancy clothes towards the end of the tour and when Austin and I got home a week ago I almost cried at all the clothes in my closet that I could no longer wear. I wasn't huge, but I wasn't tiny either.
I was wearing a long t-shirt that draped over my bump that said 'I'm proof Mommy puts out' which made me chuckle in the store. I had to buy pregnancy jeans and leggings so I was wearing a black pair of those with my floral Toms. I wore my black, large frame glasses because I couldn't be arsed to put contacts in and my make up was as simple as it could be. I wore my purple extensions and had my fringe down. I didn't look bad for being 19 weeks pregnant.
"Hon, you look stunning. You're glowing and your bump is so adorable," Austin cooed, resting his hands on the slightly larger bump.
I suddenly felt something pop like popcorn in my stomach. "OH MY GOSH, DID YOU FEEL THAT?!"
Austin's face was priceless. "Was that my fault? Was it bad? Are you okay? Is the baby okay?"
I nodded, "They moved, Austin. Our baby just moved."
"What? Really? She did?"
I laughed, "She?"
"Yeah, I want another girl," he said with a large smile. "I want my favorite girls."
I laughed and shook my head. "I want a boy."
"But what if he's just like me," Austin laughed.
I smiled and kissed him gently. "He'll be perfect if he's just like you."
"Come on, let's go or we'll be late," he chuckled. "KATIE?"
Not even a minute later Katie skipped in, her hair in a messy braid and chocolate covered her face. Austin's eyes went wide, mainly because the hair was his fault and he thought he hid all the chocolate in my house. I sat there and laughed. I reached in my purse and grabbed my make up removing wipes and motioned for her to come over to me. I wiped her face and got rid of all the chocolate and then I had her turn around so I could re-braid her hair.
"That's better," I whispered with a smile. I looked over and winked at Austin and motioned for us to go to the car.
I got Katie in and she looked a little nervous, like something was bothering her. I frowned slightly as I got in and decided to bring it up while we were driving towards Santa Ana. I kept glancing back at her and noticed she still had the same expression.
"Katie, what's wrong," I asked softly.
She looked up and shrugged. "Just thinking."
"About," Austin asked.
She shrugged again. "The new baby."
Austin shot me a nervous glance, we were worried about how she would react to the baby. "What about it, Sweetie?"
"Well the baby can call you Mommy and Daddy... and I can't," she said sadly. "And I don't want to be weird."
Austin chuckled softly and looked back at her. "Kiddo, do you want to call us that?"
"Yeah," she whispered, her head hung low. "But I'm not your baby."
I grinned and turned around. "Katie, you are more than welcome to call us that. You're part of our family, you are our adopted daughter. We take care of you like we would if you were our own. I know that we could never replace your parents... but we can certainly raise you like we would our own."
