I've Given Up On You

"Hey Rory, can I get you a beer," Alan asked from across the room.

We were all sat at a bar after our show in New Mexico. It's been about a week since Austin and I had sex in the back of the bus, which everyone apparently heard, but they only teased us about for a few days, how sweet of them. Francccesca joined us on tour and so far it actually hasn't been that bad. She appologized for everything she said and I did the same and we're actually pretty okay with each other, even though Chris hates it.

"No thanks," I said as I shook my head. "I've been struggling to keep things down these past couple of days."

Austin rubbed my back gently and kissed my head. "I'm sorry you're not feeling good," he whispered in my ear before kissing my neck gently.

I smiled and let my head rest against his shoulder while Katie curled up into my side. She's been doing okay too. She's had a few moments where she cries and just doesn't sleep but Austin and I handle it to the best of our ability. She has her own bunk but when she gets restless either Austin or I makes sure that she's got someone.

"You know you could just try a diet like any other normal person," Chris muttered from his place.

Franccesca hit his arm and gave him a pissed off look.

"That's it Cerulli," Austin hissed, standing from his seat.

I pulled Austin back down and gave him a pat on the back. "Don't make a scene. I'm not pulling your ass out of another legal matter." He let out an annoyed sigh and Chris let out a little laugh. "And you," I hissed back at him. "What makes you think you can get away with treating me like that?"

"Well, you've gained a few pounds and I assumed you were puking it all up," he replied seriously. "That's what pathetic girls do, right?"

I rolled my eyes and stood up, lifting Katie with me. "I'm going back to the bus, Katie should really be in bed," I muttered as she yawned. She smiled lazily and held my hand as I walked out of the bar.

"RORY," Austin called after me.

"PEARCE!"

I stopped and kneeled down to look at Katie and brushed a piece of hair out of her face. "Go back to the bus, hon. I'll be there in two minutes." She nodded and ran off and I waited until she was inside before I turned to face either one of them. "CHRISTOPHER THOMAS CERULLI, YOU DO NOT GET TO SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!"

"You fucked up," I heard Ryan mutter to Chris.

I walked back towards them and shoved Chris as hard as I could, tears streaming down my face for some unknown reason. "I FUCKING HATE YOU," I screamed at him. I watched what little color he had drain from his face and his cocky smile faded into a frown while his eyes dulled. "I hate you," I whispered again.

"Come on," Austin murmured as he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. "I think you're exhausted is the problem."

I didn't answer, I just closed my eyes. They snapped open when I felt the disgusting sensation rise from my stomach. "Austin, put me down," I muttered as best as I could. He sat me down and I moved away to puke my guts up which resulted in me crying harder than I already was. I continued to throw up until my stomach was empty and I was dry heaving.

"Rory," Austin whispered. "I think we should get you to a Doctor."

I looked down and noticed there was a gooey red tint to what just came up and I looked back at Austin. "I think you're right."

"Okay Mrs. Carlile," the peppy nurse cheered as she got us into a room.

"Oh, it's Miss Smith," I corrected her, chuckling nervously. Austin tried his best to hide the smirk on his face but he couldn't. Lately he'd been calling me Mrs. Carlile because he honestly thinks that one day we're going to settle down and get married.
