chapter 7

my eyes widened at the sight.

"you know what? this was a bad idea. ill just leave"

he whipped his shirt on

"no harry wait"

he stormed out of the bathroom and down the stairs and out the house. i couldnt run very fast in a dress. i tried to go after him but my mom stopped me.

"just let him go honey"

i had told my mom about brandon cheating and she was so shocked. i told my mom basically everything.

"why did you guys even come back?"

"well we went to his house and then i waited outside because he said it would be safer. i heard bashing and screaming and when harry came out his eye was all bruised and bleeding. i guess ever sense his mom left his dad drank and became an alcoholic and abused him. i went to put icepacks on his back but there were whip marks and before i could say anything he stormed out and left."

my mom sighed

"some people have a hard time opening up to other people. your dad was like that. your an open book like me. sometimes theyll crack and tell you. just give it time"

i nodded and hugged her, i went to go clean up the mess in the bathroom.

(few days later)

its day three which means i have first period with harry. he hasnt said anything to me all weekend. i sat in my usual seat with harrys across the room. i really need to make friends soon. first period went by and harry wasnt there. i didnt see him around the school so he didnt skip.

"wheres your boyfriend?"

someone walked up to me. it was hannah. i crinkled my eyebrows

"what boyfriend?"

"good, keep it that way because emily like loves harry and harry HAS to like her and if he doesnt i blame you and you dont wanna know what its like to be on our bad side"

she gave me a look but honestly i couldnt care less about what she says. im not scared of her or her friends. harry can like who he pleases and if he doesnt like emily then that sucks for her but at least shell learn what rejection feels like.

"okay"

i mocked her tone and rolled my eyes at her and shut my locker in her face and left. i could hear her feel insulted. as i was walking i bumped into mr l.

"may i talk to you for a second?"

ugh this creep again.

"i need to get to class"

"itll only take a second"

he pushed me into the janitors closet and then kissed me.

"ew your disgusting! let me go!"

i banged and screamed against the door.

"shut up everyone will hear!"

"GOOD!"

i yelled at the top of my lungs, i kicked the door open and ran out of there as fast as i could.
