Natasha
I had Khalil right where I wanted him. I thought to myself as I lay across his bed. Khalil and I had a rocky start but we had history and we were meant to be. I needed to know more about the competition though. So I eased off the bed and started snooping through her drawers. She was a plain Jane in my opinion. I definitely had more style. I came across a picture on the dresser of the two them. They were sitting together on a couch, not there’s because the furniture was different. She was thick, not thick enough to be fat but thick. She natural curly hair that was a little past her shoulders. Gorgeous eyes, sexy. Still after checking her out I decided she had nothing on me. I was referred to often as black Barbie. She was not me. I remembered her going through boxes in the basement so I made my way down there and started going through boxes. I found wedding pictures of her and a fine ass hunk of a man and I wondered why she left this guy. Then after more digging I came across maternity clothes. That made me sad because I found one sleeper, blue folded neatly, and tucked away in a gift box. No baby pictures though. Then I found the obituary. Marcus Wilson and his son where buried together. Proceeded in death by…. Man poor guy. No siblings, a whole generation gone. I suddenly felt bad for this chick. Her man died and the child to It must have been a car accident. I dug through more boxes and then I found more pictures these had her, the guy that bought her here, and her handsome hunk of a husband with some other chick. Now it seemed to me that she and what did she call him Rodney where quite chummy. However it seemed in the picture he belonged to the other girl. I kept digging and then I found it the newspaper clipping of the fatal shooting of Summer Richards.
That’s when it clicked “Holy smokes” I called Trinity yelling into the phone “Oh my God do you know who Khalil is dating?”
“No. “ She said.
“Joy Wilson the chick that banged her best friends husband and got knocked up then her husband went crazy and beat her and then shot and killed the best friend and baby” I yelled at her.
“Are you serious?” Trinity asked
“As a heart attack!” I shouted into the phone “Khalil is not marrying this chick she is trouble and can’t be trusted and she has him blinded”
“Natasha after what he went through he deserves happiness no matter whom it is with. I think you should drop this because you’re doing it for the wrong reasons. This isn’t about Khalil, its about you.” Trinity said. I gave her an exaggerated sigh.
“I’m helping us both. I can be what he needs me to be and we can help each other. Trinity I love him I have for a long time and I just can’t see him and this Joy chick being serious. I think she is manipulating him. She is not even his type.” I reasoned. Trinity said nothing at first. Then finally she sighed.
“How do you plan on getting rid of her. Please don’t do anything crazy.” She pleaded. What was that supposed to mean. Now I was annoyed.
“Like what” I snapped “I told you I care about him and would never do anything to hurt him.” Just then I heard the front door open I hurried and tidied up my mess then made my way back upstairs.
“Khalil!” I called out but there was no answer. I went to his bedroom and tapped on the door. He didn’t answer I was turning to leave and there was June his mom right behind me.
“You scared me.” I said
“Sorry honey. I do walk light.” She said smiling.
“Khalil isn’t here.” I told her.
“I came to see you.” She said sweetly but it was forced.
“Oh why?” I asked
“Well because you need a plan. This aint it! My son is happy and adjusted now after you built him up and tore him down the last time you showed up. So I need to know where your coming from because this cant happen again. I won’t allow it.
