It all happened when he was on the way home.

Ethan had decided to walk home, absolutely refusing to go home with Mark and Tyler. They'd argued about something—something stupid—and now he was being stubborn.

He shivered as the cold night air leaked through the unzipped front of his beautiful charcoal grey jacket and coiled around him, chilling him through his baby blue Wowie tee as his teeth chattered slightly. He quickly zipped the jacket, hugging himself in a way that was an attempt to keep warm.

He spotted an alleyway that led to the other side. It would save him time and he could be back home a little quicker. The faster he got home, the sooner he'd warm up.

So against the part of his mind screaming at him to just take the long route home—avoid the dark and ominous alleyway—he decided to ignore his caution and take the shortcut.

What could go wrong?

Well, many things—usually minor—happen when you ask yourself that question, but for the sake of the plot it'll be pretty extreme for our blue boi. Or, maybe not so blue anymore.

The cool wind blew through his fluffy hair, the brunette's locks swaying as he began to walk into the darkness. He expected to be a bit unsettled by the shadows the streetlights cast into the relatively narrow path between the buildings.

He was almost to the other side when a hand touched his shoulder from behind him, causing Ethan to flinch and jump away at the unexpected contact. That, he definitely wasn't ready for.

He immediately expected a murderer—like nearly anyone would if they felt that in that dimly-lit alleyway—so when he turned and saw a teen girl in a Wowie hoodie with a gleeful smile on her face he let out a whew of relief.

"You scared me." Ethan laughed light-heartedly. "What did you need?"

"Oh! My name's Arizona." The girl looked elated. She was obviously a fan of the entertainer and this was a big moment for her. "I was just heading home and I thought I'd see if it was you." She pulled something out of her purse. It looked like a pen in the limited lighting. "And I needed someone to test this on. I've always wanted to meet you," She jammed what was in her hand—a syringe, not a pen—into his arm and pushed the liquid into his veins. "And now I can keep you~"

Ethan had been excited to meet a fan, and was happy to give an autograph if that was what she wanted, but the needle that went into his arm turned the joyful butterflies in his stomach to jittery spiderwebs in his veins. That creepy-toned whisper combined with the fire-like burning sensation filling his entire body and spotting his vision with onyx orbs ripped a scream of astonished agony from his throat.

He wasn't even aware that his eyes had closed but the ground beneath his feet seemed to sway and he sat down in an attempt to destroy the sensation. A shadow engulfed him and he slowly opened his eyes, backpedaling and gasping in shock at the sight of the teen in front of him.

She and everything else in the alleyway was ginormous, and he was only about four inches tall.

"What the hell?" He whimpered, crying out as his back met the cold brick of the alleyway. There was nowhere to go. Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide.

Arizona's hand shot out toward him, trunk-thick digits coiling tightly around him—painfully tight as they stole him from solid ground. He screamed, praying that this was just a messed up nightmare his mind had made up and he'd wake up and laugh at his brain for being so twisted.

But it wasn't. The pain was too real to be a dream, and blooms of purple and black were sure to appear soon as a result of the harsh handling. She poked and prodded him as if making sure he was real, her warm breath washing over him yet giving him chills. He was terrified; he couldn't even bring himself to plead with her to let him go or change him back.

"Ethan, you're so cute like this~! Now we can be together." He was pressed against her chest in a suffocating grip. "Forever." Her whispered words washed through his fluffy brown hair and sent shivers down his spine.

She stood up, and gravity weighed down on him and made his head roll onto his shoulders. Arizona held him out in front of her like a prize toy. "Let's go home~" The singsong voice was too upbeat for the situation and it truly unsettled him.

Ethan heard a gasp of surprise before his captor was jostled. And then he was falling, the ground rushing to meet him. A flash of flesh was visible before he landed on a solid yet soft surface.

The air was knocked out of his lungs and he wheezed, struggling to breathe. His vision went fuzzy as he felt his platform moving quickly. Whoever was holding his life in their palm was running, and also keeping him from falling to his death as he slipped into unconsciousness.

Thanks for reading and putting up with the wait~

Predictions? Who found him? What will they do?

Also, Arizona totally wasn't named after the can of tea sitting on the table in front of me. I have no idea what you're talking about.
