"Dee? Can I eat today? Have I been good?" Your innocent voice was quiet and afraid as you timidly spoke up. Your stomach had been growling for a while and you couldn't help but hope your master would feed you today.

It had already been a day, maybe two.

You'd learned to stop struggling. To stop complaining about your cage. To stop fighting him.

He'd made it clear that you were nothing more than something to discard when he got tired of you. And, as much as you hated it, you wanted to live, so you became his obedient little pet.

You master shifted and leaned in closer to you, his one yellow eye looking at you, scrutinizing you. It took everything in you not to shy away from him.

He got up without a word, looming over you. The shadow he cast over you made you uneasy, and you didn't miss the smirk on his face that appeared when he saw how you leaned away a bit.

Your stomach squirmed anxiously as he disappeared from the room, the door closing with a loud click.

Your stomach let out another needy growl, and you doubled over, hugging your middle as if that would make the pain of hunger go away. Your eyes wandered over to the lock of your cage. It was locked, like always.

You slumped a bit as your back met the cold bars, sliding down into a sitting position. What did you expect? That it would be unlocked?

A weak and bitter chuckle escaped you as you watched the door blankly, waiting for your master to come back. Even if it were unlocked, the cage hung from the ceiling, and you'd surely sprain you ankle on the landing—and that was if you were lucky.

"You think so?" You heard from beyond the door. That was your master. A reply made you freeze.

"Of course," You didn't recognize this voice. "I mean, it would make for a world of fun for them, don't you think?"

A hum of agreement was a response before that voice spoke again.

"So let me take it off your hands. I can see you're getting bored of it. And then I'll give it to that other Dark Side, and he can have some fun before he gets bored too?"

Your master's reply was too quiet to make out from beyond the door, but it made the other one laugh, whoever it was.

"Then it'll die. Hell, he'll probably kill it without even trying. Either way, you win; you freak out that Side, and you get to get rid of the pest."

Pest? It? That was you. Icy fear gripped your heart. A Dark Side? That meant... death, probably. You thought you were pretty lucky to still be alive, but then, with this, you weren't so sure.

And as the door opened back, you could tell that he knew you'd heard the conversation. The snakelike side of his face quirked up into a smirk that chilled your veins.

"Oh, my little friend, you're going to have so much fun."

And then his hand was digging in his cloak, his yellow-gloves fingers reappearing with the key for your cage.

The usual relief you felt at the unlocking was absent, replaced entirely with a paralyzed sort of fear as the door squealed open.

You futilely covered your head with your arms, a whimper escaping you as a tight grip confined both your limbs and breathing.

A strangled whimper escaped you as he ya led you out of the cage and stuffed you roughly into a box, your sides complaining ever after he let go and sealed the box, leaving you in complete darkness.

A shriek escaped you as a fling of silver entered the box at the top in rapid succession. Your heart pounded as it left holes there, and you shrank back into the corner more.

It was a knife. The maniac had poked holes with a knife. With you inside it.

Another scream escaped you as the box was lifted with no care for your wellbeing. A sharp shake that send you slamming into the side of the cardboard box shut you up.

Everything seemed to catch up to you: your hunger, your exhaustion, your fear.

And as the box was roughly placed down and footsteps retreated, you curled up and slipped into unconsciousness.

735 Words!

Wow, I ended this chapter with unconsciousness? How original yayyyy.

Anyway, sorry that it s been a bit, but hopefully this is okay.

Bye buddies~
