This chapter is super short, so sorry..

Ethan's eyes opened slowly, widening at the sight of the sleeping giant whose chest he was on, pinned under a hand that was bigger than his whole body. Ice shot through his veins as the tanned fingers curled around him, effectively keeping him still as he trembled.

Then everything seemed to come back to him. Arizona. The alleyway. Tyler saving him. Mark keeping him calm as they bandaged everything.

He let out a shaky breath of relief before sliding down further into the hand loosely wrapped around him. The digits were warm, and Ethan let out a content sigh as he rested his head on Mark's thumb. He closed his eyes. He was still exhausted from everything and he fell asleep quickly, the fingers protecting him in a cocoon of warmth and safety.

Mark woke up not long after the shrunken human had fallen back asleep, yawning quietly as to not wake his friend. He looked down at Ethan, accidentally cooing aloud at the sight.

The little brunette was in his hand, using this thumb as not a pillow and teddy bear and the rest of his fingers as a blanket of sorts. He looked adorable, and peaceful—the polar opposite of the absolute terror he'd seen on that little face the day before.

Mark slowly got up, trying his hardest to insure that his friend's much needed rest wasn't interrupted. He shushed him gently and stroked his hair lightly as Ethan fussed in his sleep.

Mark chuckled as his minuscule friend let out a sleepy groan. His stomach knotted at the fear that flashed in Ethan's eyes as those hazel orbs stared up at him.

"Hey, it's just me." Mark murmured softly, running a finger down his friend's back. It seemed to help in stories like this. He was relieved when it worked, just as it had the night before, the tension fading from those little muscles. He simply offered a smile at Ethan's sheepish and quiet apology, murmuring a soft apology of his own as he began to walk, the action making his tiny passenger cling to him nervously.

He set Ethan on the counter with his phone to keep himself entertained as he began to make breakfast. By the time he'd flipped the first pancake, he could have sworn he heard a whimper. He finished making the pancake, placing it on a plate before turning to his miniature friend, who was pale and trembling.

"Hey, it's just me. Mark," He gave him a wide smile, frowning as he only cringed back more. He glanced at the phone, picking it up. His frown deepened as he saw that it was on Tumblr.

That wasn't the issue, but the problem rather came with what was on it. Predators. Ethan must have connected that article through him by his uncommonly sharp teeth.

"Oh," was all he could say.

Tiny hazel orbs looked warily up at Mark, clearly torn. Predators like Mark were dangerous to people his size—borrowers, he remembered— but Ethan's massive friend never seemed like the type to kill in cold blood.

"Y-you wouldn't do that to me though?" Ethan sounded uncertain, though he'd meant to come off as confident.

"Of course not." Mark wrapped his fingers around his bandaged friend, feeling the tiny body tense up in panic and surprise. "I'm not that kind of predator." He masked the hurt he felt that Ethan would think that with a small smile without teeth.

"Now that's sorted out, so let's get some food okay, Blueberry boi?" Mark smirked at the scowl directed at him from the tiny man in his hand.

"Shut it, Mark"
