"I'm gonna teach you how to fight." He says leading me to a secluded corner of the courtyard. It's free time right now and he has time to teach me.

"First kick them where it hurts. Try to hurt, cripple or knock your opponent to the ground. It'll give you enough time to get away. You're going to want to knee your opponent in the groin." He says.
I nod my head.

"Low-kick them in the groin, knee or abdomen." He explains pointing to each part he mentions.

"Kick them using the bottom of your foot. Make sure to do it quickly and stay on balance. You can easily be thrown off while you're kicking. Here, practice on me."

" I-I don't want to hurt you. " I say.

"It's okay. You're not going to hurt me. Now try kicking me as hard as you can."

I shut my eyes tightly and kick him. I lose my balance and fall backward. I hear people laughing. They're laughing at me. Spring helps me up and says

"Just ignore them. Second, attack your opponents face. It'll slow down your opponent. Poke their eyes with your fingers. It'll temporarily so that you can escape. You can cause some serious damage by punching them in the nose."

"Avoid looking at their hands and feet. You should look at the knees and shoulders to time their kicks and punches. Oh and lastly, don't get hit."

I roll my eyes.
"Obviously."

He chuckles.

"What?" I ask.

"That's not what I'd usually hear from you."

"Like you said. I've got to toughen up."

He smiles at me.

"You're finally getting it."
