It's free time again for the second time. Spring leads me over to the corner from this morning where my new friends are standing.
".......How is she still alive......." Says Alex.
"She's a fighter Alex..." replies Spring.
".......Whatever you say Spring........"
Spring gives Alex a very dirty look and puts a hand on my shoulder gripping onto me tightly.
"You'll see, Alex. I'm gonna turn her into the toughest eight years old you've ever seen in your entire life. Mark my words."
Alex smirks and looks up revealing his glowing red eye.
"Do you want to bet on that?" He asks menacingly.
"Yeah!"
"Fine! If you can actually do it then you can have my food rations for a month.
"And if I can't?" Spring asks.
"I get both your food rations for a month...." Alex says extending his hand out to Spring.
Spring hesitates before taking it and shaking his hand. Alex turns back to the others.
"Don't you think that was a bad idea?" I whisper to Spring.
"What?"
"You just have to give up a whole month worth of food!"
He chuckles.
"Who says we lost?"
"Spring we're gonna lose this bet...." I warn.
"You listen to me, we are going to win. I will not give up on you." He says to me. I can't hold back my smile.
"Now, what are we going to do?"
"We're gonna win!" I say proudly.
He ruffles my hair.
"That's my girl!"
