I gave at least three speeches today. One about sticking together, one about faith, and one about hope. Someone has to keep everyone's spirits up. Spring isn't mad at me anymore. He's very proud of me actually. Today at work I stole a pocket knife off The Warden's desk. He was too stupid to notice, of course. Olliver and I talk the nights when Yang doesn't visit. Tonight it's an Olliver night. We'll talk form sundown to sunrise once I get back to my cell. As I'm walking by one of the offices I'm stopped by two voices that I recognize almost immediately. It's The Warden and Dr.Cadence speaking in hushed voices. I press my ear to the door and listen. I'm a curious son of a bitch.
"So, how do you want me to go about this?" Cadence asks.
"However you want to, make it quick and painless or slow and painful, I really don't care," answers The Warden.
"What makes you want to do this now? Why not have killed Dagenhart earlier?"
My breath hitches in my throat.
"She's corrupted now, Cadence. We have no use for her now. So I make myself clear?" The Warden asks.
"Yes, sir,"
I turn and run as fast as I can back to my cell years blurring my vision. I almost trip over my feet as I get there.
"Yin?" Asks Spring concerned. I hug him tightly.
"Yin, what's wrong?"
"I'm done, Spring,"
"What do you mean done?"
"Dr...Dr.Cadence and The Warden,"
"Yin, what is going on?" He asks sternly.
"They're going to kill me. I...I heard them talking about it," I choke through my tears. He hugs back tightly staying like that for awhile. I feel safe in his arms.
"No," he says suddenly scaring me.
"Wh-What?"
He pushes me away holding me at arms length.
"I won't let them."
I stare at him tears still blurring my vision.
"We're going to get you out of here." He states.
