It's been at least a week since I met Yang. I like Yang. We talk mostly at night. He teaches me a lot of things. We sit across from each other as we talk.

"Do you know what your soul looks like?"

I shake my head. He makes a motion towards me with his hands and a pure glowing white orb appears in his hand. I stare at awestruck.

"This is your soul," he says making the same motion at himself,"and this is my soul."

His is a mixture of black and white. It doesn't glow as bright as mine.

"Why is yours like that?" I ask.

"Yours looks like that because you're a pacifist."

"A pacifist?"

"You don't like harming people or anything in general. You feel guilty when you do. You feel sympathy for things." He explains.

"What are you?" I ask curiously.

"I'm neutral. I do both."

"How old are you?" I ask suddenly.

"I'm fifteen in shadow years and eight in human years."

"So that means you're..."

"Yes, I'm older than you." He replies.

"Does that mean I have to listen to you?"

He chuckles.

"No of course not! You make your own decisions!"

"Yang what can you do? Shadow wise?" I ask.

He smiles. He likes talking about his abilities.

"I can possess you, hurt you, heal you, make you feel certain emotions, sense emotions, make you see certain memories, drive you insane, vanish, inhabit your soul, destroy your soul. I can do a lot of things."

"Can you do them all the time?"

"No. I need strength and power." He says.

"But strength comes naturally and strength gives you power."

"It's not like that Yin. It's different for shadows like me. I get my strength and powers from souls. I'm supposed to take yours."

I nod my head.

"Then why don't you?"

He stares me dead in the eyes.

"Because it could kill you."

He says it very slowly sending shivers down my spine.

"Taking energy from your soul is like taking your life from you."

"Don't you like live on it though?" I ask remembering the first night I met him.

"Yes."

"Then won't you die if you don't take the energy?"

"....yes...." He replies slowly.

I don't want him to die.

"I think it's time for bed." He says standing up.

I crawl my way over to Spring and lay down next to him.

"Don't think about it too much. Okay?"

I nod my head.

"Night." he says disappearing into the darkness.

"Goodnight..."

I let the darkness take me and fall asleep.
