Chapter 4- the sliver bell ball

Star looks at her closet and sighs. " What am I going to wear?" she asks her self frustrated. She then sees it. A white, shimmery dress with white sparckles. It cascades down to her feet but, not too low where she could trip. She puts it on and puts her hair in a pony tail where two pieces of hair are curly on each side hanging out.
She puts in a silver head band and heads downstairs. Her mom looks and sees her come downstairs and smiles.
" You look beautiful star, I am so glad you are taking these occasions seriously." Star smiles. If only she knew why she was dressing so nice. A few minutes later, guests start to arrive. Star scans the group of people to see if she can see Tom, but she can't see him. She is starting to think he sriod her up when she then remembered he had to come because he is a prince and this ball shows our alliances. She wait a few minutes and then she sees him. He is in a red and black tux.
" Hey star," he greets.
" Hi tom," she says curtsying. He laughed then asked," Why did you curtsy?" " It makes me look professional, " she says. He nods and puts his hand out. " Want to dance? " Star blushes and takes his hand. They go to the dance floor and start slow dancing.

Star's mom is watching from a distance. " River look see I told you they are back together, " said moon. " Don't worry moonpie, star knows how to take care of herself," assured river. Moon is still unsure. She does however like how much Star is happy with him. Maybe it won't be that bad.

Star leans on Toms shoulder with tom wrapping his arms around her. She feels so safe when she is in his arms. She feels like nothing can hurt her. She looks over at her mom and sees her staring at them suspiciously. " My mom is staring at us," said star feeling a little weird. " More that she is looking at me," said Tom.
" Why would you say that?" Star asked.
" Because she knows why and how we broke up and she is probably nervous now that we got back together," said Tom.
" You losing your temper did frighten me a bit, but now I know what to do; let you cool down," star explains. " Yeah, I know I can have a bad temper sometimes, but I am doing better to control it now," said Tom.
" I'm glad," said Star smiling. When the song finishes they head off the dance floor to get some food. Star takes Tom to the cupcake stand.

A few hours later guests start leaving and head home. The only guest who stayed was Tom.
" Well, this was fun," said Star smiling. " Yeah I had a good time," said Tom. He leaned in for a kiss which Star leaned in too but, they were interrupted when Moon came over and cleared her throat. " Oh hey mom," greeted Star.
" Hello Star, may I have a word with Tom?" Moon asks. " Oh...sure," said Star walking away.
" Ok Lucitor, you listen to me, if you hurt Star again, so be it you will have me to deal with, got that?" Moon threatens.
" Don't worry queen moon, your daughter is in good hands, " Tom assures. " We'll see about that. I am watching you." Moon retreats back to where River is and they head up to retire for the night.

Star runs over to Tom and asks," What did she say to you?"
" Just your mom being protective, " said Tom chuckling. " Did she threaten you?" Star asked. " A little but, I shouldn't worry. She just cares about you."
" Ok," said Star mad at her mom but also grateful. She is glad to have a mother who cares so much. " So where were we?" Tom asks. Star chuckles and leans in for a kiss. They kiss passionately arms wrapping around eachother. Cautious of whether Moon could be watching they break a part and say good night.
" Well, good night Star," said Tom kissing her on the cheek. Star blushes and says," Good night Tom." Tom leaves leaving Star to go to her room to go to sleep.
