Chapter 23: The Dark Curse

"Mrs. Butterfly, you better come quick!" Marco says urgently. Star could tell something was wrong and immediately got Tom and used her dimensional scissors to get to earth. As she went through the portal, she saw her daughter unconscious on the bed and rushed to her, Tom right behind her.

She kneeled down and inspected her daughter, seeing if she could see or somehow sense what was wrong with her. Tom however stood up and glared at Marco. "You!" he yelled. He rose up, his eyes glowing and fire surrounding him. "What did you do to my daughter you-"

"Tom!" Star yelled getting him down. When he got back to normal, Star gave him a hug, rubbing comforting circles on his back; attempting to calm him down. Star then looked him straight in the eyes and said," I know what is wrong with Luna." Tom became instantly reassured because he knew if they knew what was wrong, then they could help her.

Star slid up Luna's sleeves and showed Tom the purple veins on Luna's arms. Tom gasped and rubbed her arms lightly as if she was made of porcelain. "What are these?" Tom asked. Star sighed. "Luna has the dark curse, from using Eclipse's spell."

Tom was taken aback. Marco was too and he walked up, trying really hard not to upset Tom again. He walked up to her and a silent tear slid down his cheek. A curse. This is what Luna gets for saving Mewni.

"Is there a cure?" Marco asked Star. Star sighed and silent tears were rolling down her cheeks. "There might be, I have to do some research." Tom pulls Star into a hug as she starts sobbing. Tom even let out a tear, which surprised Marco. 'So, the demon does have a heart." Marco thought. He kneeled down at Luna's bedside and held her hand gently.

He hoped that she would hold his hand back and he would see those beautiful, blue, sparkle eyes again. He hoped he would feel the sensation he always felt when they kissed. That special spark that they felt everytime they touched. (Cause everytime we touch I get this feeling! Anyone know this song? Lol) Everytime they hugged, he felt safe in her arms. He wonders where Luna is now.

*Luna POV*
It was dark. I didn't know where I was. All I remember was trying to get Marco to forgive me and him ignoring me. I then remember feeling weird and everything went black. Then, I ended up here.

I walked around and had no idea where I was. I somehow woke up in a forest but, I've never been here. The trees look just like any other trees and the whole scenery just looks the same as any other forest. I walk around blindly, the dark penetrating my vision. All of a sudden as if reading my mind, the crescent moons on my cheeks lit up and I could see the way. I walked up a long, dirt path and it led me out of the forest and to a clearing.

All of a sudden, I realize where I was. I was in Mewni. I see the castle in the distance and wonder how I made it here. I decided to head to the castle to see if my parents could explain anything.

When I walked into the castle, I saw my parents or at least I think I did. They looked like them but it wasn't  them. They were dark and a gray, shadow aura was surrounding them. Their eyes were just shadows with no eyes in them. I just ran the other way but, they grabbed me and pulled me away form the exit.

I was trapped.
