Chapter 13: Invasion

Princess Luna Butterfly is now 14 and is destined to have the family wand. Star knows she will get very emotional today because one, she will miss her wand dearly. It has helped her so much and she couldn't imagine being without it. But most especially, she is really happy and proud of the young lady that her daughter is becoming.

She is getting Luna ready in her room. She is brushing her hair and then started forming a dutch braid. She then put her princess tiara on. Luna had on a light blue dress on with white heels. She also had crescent moon earings.

Luna looked into the mirror to see how she looked. She smiled. "Thanks mom, for making me look beautiful," Luna says to her mother. Star smiles. "Oh Luna, you are always beautiful. Your father and I couldn't be more prouder at the young lady you have become." Luna smiles and hugs her mother. They get up and head for the door. They go downstairs to the ballroom.

When they get downstairs, they see that a couple guests has arrived. Tom saw his wife and daughter walking in and smiled. He walked over to them and put a hand on Luna's shoulder smiling. "You will do great today honey," Tom said. Luna smiled. "Thanks dad." Tom nodded and went over to greet more guests. When all the guests showed up, it was time for the ceremony.

Star stood up on the pedestal with Tom by her side with Moon and River in the back of them.

Luna walked up and bowed. Star started reciting," Princess Luna Butterfly, will you take this gift and use it with justice and grace?" "I will," Luna replied. "Then, it is my honor to bestow upon you, the family wand." Star smiled and gave Luna the wand. The second the wand was in Luna's grasp, the wand changed and the top turned into a crescent moon and the long part turned blue and white.

At the bottom, there is a diamond. Luna smiles trying to control her glee. After that, everyone was free to socialize. Luna couldn't believe it! She had the wand! She could do magic spells and everything!

The party was mostly just people talking and eating. All of a sudden, a big crash was heard. Everyone gasped and looked to see what the commotion was. Then, he came in. "Toffee!" Moon said angrily. "Moon," Toffee said formally. He then looked at Star and Tom. "So you are the rulers now? And who is this?" Toffee says looking at Luna. Star walked up behind Luna and put a hand on her shoulder. "My daughter," Star said eyebrows furrowed angrily. "Your daughter? Hm." Toffee observed the party and grinned evilly.

He summoned a fire ball and shot it at the door. Instantly, a bunch of monsters came through, including Ludo. Star looked over at her husband who nodded sadly. This makes Star remember a talk her and Tom had a while ago.

Flashback...
"Tom! We need to find a place for Luna to be safe if Toffee ever returns. My mother tells me it could be any day," Star says flipping through the ancient book of dimensions. Tom looked over at his wife and sighed. He walked up behind her and rubbed her stressed shoulders. "Don't worry, we will find one." Star's eyes widened when she made it to a specific page. "Tom! I found a place!" Tom looked over eye brows furrowed in confusion. "Earth?" Star nodded. "Its perfect! There is no magic there and Toffee won't find her there," Star states. Tom nods. "Lets hope so."
Flashback ends...

Star then looks at Luna and sighs. "What is it mom?" Star sighs and smiles grimly. "You have to leave Mewni," Star said frowning. Luna's eyes go wide with shock. "What? No!" Luna's eyes start to tear up. Star gets the bag that Star has had packed for Luna since her mother told her about Toffee. She then orders a carriage for her. Luna hugs her mother and father tightly. She then goes into the carriage and looks at her mother. "I still don't see why I have to leave," Luna says. Star sighs. "Toffee wants the wand honey, and you being unreachable will keep you safe." Star now had tears in her eyes and smiled trying to remain strong for her daughter. Luna hugged her mother tightly followed by her father. The carriage then started driving away and the driver took out a pair of dimensional scissors and went through the portal.
