Chapter 5- The horns

Tom was at the mall shopping at his favorite store. It was black and red; his favorite colors.
He thought to get Star a present and he knew that he should be shopping at her favorite store, not his. But, he knew exactly what to get her. He went inside and found a red headband with devil horns on it. He feels like it symbolizes their relationship. He can't wait to give it to her. He pays for the headband and heads home to call Star to come over.

" Hey Tom!" Star answered. "Hey Star! Want to come over?" Tom asked. " Sure! Be right there." Star hung up leaving Tom waiting for Star to come. A few minutes later, Star knocks on Tom's door.
Tom opens the door to find his girlfriend on the other side.
" Hey!" said Star giving Tom a kiss. Tom kisses back and then says," I have something for you."
" Oh? What is that?" Star asked curiously.
" Close your eyes," said Tom with the present behind his back. He puts the head band on Stars head and stood back.
" Open your eyes and look in the mirror," said Tom. Star goes to the mirror and squeals in excitement.
" Oh my gosh! I have horns like you!" exclaimed Star giving Tom a crushing hug. Tom hugs back so glad she liked his gift. They kiss.

*Star POV*
I absolutely love the horns. I like that they are like Tom's. I love him so much. Wait! I love him? Nuh- uh. I don't love him that can't be right. If you're wondering why I am so scared at the idea of loving him, then this is why. When I first told Tom I loved him he was so thrilled. He also thought that, that meant I can't do anything without him. He would go everywhere with me and not leave me alone. When I finally snapped he got really mad and raged at me. We broke up and that is how we broke up. He notices me thinking so he asks," Hey Star, you ok?" He walks up to me and puts his hand on my shoulder.
" Oh yeah," I say smiling.
" Are you sure?" he asked.
" Yeah," I said  giving him a kiss. This always distracts him, but not today. " Seriously star what is wrong?" I sigh and say," I...Love...you." His reaction was full of glee. " Wow! I love you too!" he says picking me up and spinning me; lifting me off the ground. I giggle. Maybe I have nothing to fear. 

After, Tom puts me down and asks," Why did you seem scared to say that?"
I take a deep breath and say," I wanted to, but I was scared because that is how we broke up." Tom sighs and looks at the wall probably having a flashback. He then turns to me saying, " I am sorry it ended that way. It will be better this time I promise." He grabs my hand and I grab back reassuringly.
