Chapter 19: Returning

Luna went through the portal and landed in Mewni. She smiled for a second glad to be home. She then looks at all that changed since the monster invasion. People are being forced into their homes with hand cuffs on their wrists, monsters are guarding every exit and what's worse, they have her parents and everyone on the magical  high commission in a cage. She frowned at how hopeless her parents look. She wishes she could just run over and hug them and tell them it will alright but, that cage seems the safest right now.  How they managed to get to earth to visit her was beyond her but, her top priority was to save everyone and stop this invasion.

She takes out her wand so if anyone tries to attack her, she'll be ready. She stealthily moves from dark place to dark place trying to blend in. Luckily, it was night so blending in won't be a challenge. She runs to the castle avoiding the monster guards. She wants to take them out but if she uses magic, it will be too obvious.

She manages to get into the castle, using a secret passageway she used as a child. "Hey!" one of the monster guards shouts. She gasped turning to find that he didn't see her. He was shouting at a guard sleeping. "Get up you lazy oaf!" The monster gets startled awake and immediately begins gauridng again. "Phew," she says to herself. She goes through the secret passageway that she found as a child that leads to cellar where her grandfather keeps the corn. She opens the cellar door quietly and runs to the stairs. She hears guards coming and quickly runs to the nearest closet. She finds one and goes inside finding the broom closet. She opens the door ajar seeing where the guards were and found them scaling the grounds. When they turned around, Luna managed to make an escape up the stairs to the next floor. She finds the throne room and sees where toffee would be. She thought he would be in the throne room guessing that he believes he rules Mewni now. She runs to the next floor where her room is and opens the door. She finds is absolutely trashed; clothes all over the floor, her drawers all open, her bed broken. They were probably looking for the wand Luna thought. She sighs and looks around. She hasn't been in her room since the invasion started. She looks down and finds her childhood bear she has always kept. She picks it up and holds it to her close.

She then walks around and examines the rest of her room. She frowns when she sees the picture of her with her parents beside her cracked. She picks that up and holds it to her close. She starts to tear up. She is sad that the monsters have done this much damage and also angry at Toffee for ruining not only hers but everyone's lives on Mewni.

She puts the teddy bear and the picture in her backpack and continues to look around her room. At that moment, she wishes Marco was here to comfort her and to tell her everything was alright. She wishes she could be in his arms. She wishes she could have said the words she has been most afraid to say. That she loves him. As she thinks about Marco and how worried he must be if he found out that she was gone she hears someone shout. "Hey! Arms up princess!" a monster guard says to Luna. Luna turns around with not fear but determination in her eyes. She puts her hands up as the monster cuffs her and leads her towards Toffee.
