Chapter 20: Confronting

Luna was led by the monster guard with her hands behind her back, handcuffed. She wishes Marco was by her side; there was no one she would rather be with. She was led to a room she has never been in. It had stone walls with purple banners hanging down from the ceiling and on the banners were butterfly's. No surprise there since they are the butterfly kingdom. To the right were pictures of past rulers and on the left was him. Toffee.

He turned around and smirked. "Well well, who do we have here?" he said in his monotone voice. "The princess, your highness," the monster guard said. " "Excellent!" His eyes lit up with excitement. He looks over to the guard and says," You may leave." The guard nods and bows before leaving them alone.

"So, you are the princess," Toffee said putting his hands behind his back. When Luna doesn't talk, he continues. "I've heard a lot about you and your parents are great."
"Don't you dare talk of my parents you beast!" Luna spat. Toffee chuckles clearly not offended. "You have quite a temper, your parents have it too, epsicially your demon father.." "My father is a great man! And my mom!" Luna shouted. "I bet they are, but they are weak and can never be good rulers," he stated.

"Mewmans need a real ruler. Like me." Toffee grins. Luna grunts. As toffee is talking, she slips out a bobbypin from her pocket and picks the lock of the handcuffs. She succeeds and takes out her wand, hiding it behind her back. When Toffee's back is turned she points her wand at his back with a determined look on her face. She shouts a spell at him forming a hole in hid chest. Instead of falling to the floor he just laughs and the hole repairs itself.

"Nice try, but it will take a lot more than a puny spell to defeat me." Luna points her wand at him again and just shouted spell after spell trying to defeat him but, he didn't fall. Luna began to cry tears of frustration. She stopped not wanting to weaken herself. "So, ready to give up?" Toffee asked. Luna then remembered a spell she read in the spell book; in the forbidden chapter that was made by Eclipsa. She then decided to use it.

She pointed the wand at him and he just laughed and said," Give your best shot." Luna adjusts herself and says the spell.

"I call the darkness onto me
From deepest depths of earth and sea. From ancient evils unawoken, break the one that can't be broken. To blackest night I pledge my soul,and crush my heart into burning coal. To summon forth a deadly power, to see my hated foe devoured!"

As Luna finished the spell, a blackish green comes out and shoots at Toffee. His mouth hangs open as it complelty obliterates him. Luna sighs with relief. She then remembers her parents. She runs out of the castle towards the cage where her parents and the magical high commission is. Luna blasts the lock off making it open. Star looked over shocked to see her daughter. "Luna! What are you doing here!" Star shouted hugging her daughter. She then looks at her holding her shoulders. "If Toffee finds you-" "I defeated Toffee!" Luna exclaimed smiling.

Her parents and the commission all look shocked and confused. "How?" Star asked. Luna sighed and showed her her arms that have purple veins growing from her arms to her forearm. Star gasped looking. "You used the dark spell," Star breathed. "I had to," Luna stated. "There was no other way." Star sighs and brings her daughter in a hug sighing. "I'm just glad you're safe." Tom put a hand on Luna's shoulder smiling. "Me too." Luna and Tom share a tight hug. Tom rubbing her hair he says," I missed you princess." "Missed you too dad," Luna replies. After announcing the defeat of Toffee, all the mewmans went back to their villages, going to sleep.
