Chapter 24: Plan

Marco paced back and forth, waiting anxiously for Star and Tom to come back. He wants Luna to wake up so that he could see that glimmer in her eyes that he loves so much. He just wants to hold her in his arms. He then started to sing.

Loving and fighting
Accusing, uniting
I can't imagine a world with you gone
The joy and the chaos, the demons we're made of

You locked yourself in the bathroom
Lying on the floor when I break through

Can you hear me screaming "please don't leave me"

A long endless highway, you're silent beside me
Drivin' a nightmare I can't escape from
Helplessly praying, the light isn't fadin'

They took you away on a table
I pace back and forth as you lay still

After a few moments, which felt like an eternity to Marco, Star came back with a big, dusty book. It was a brown book with a black, broken jacket. She sets it down on the floor and flips through it, trying to find something. Probably the cure to this dark curse. She stops at a particular page and gasps when she sees it. Tom notices and rushes over to her.

"Star?" he says. Star puts her hand over her mouth and says," In order to save Luna, we need to say the dark spell and go into Luna's mind and get her out." Tom rubs her shoulders trying to comfort her and Marco has time to think for a moment. So, the dark spell got Luna into this mess and now they have to use the dark spell to save her. All this is very confusing, but if it means saving Luna then Marco will do anything.

They gather in a circle, all holding hands ready to say the spell. They then begin to chant.

"I call the darkness onto me
From deepest depths of earth and sea. From ancient evils unawoken, break the one that can't be broken. To blackest night I pledge my soul,and crush my heart into burning coal. To summon forth a deadly power, to see my hated foe devoured!"

A bright ball of light comes up and consumes them all and transports them. They end up in a bleak forest that seems to only be gray. It is so dark and eerie. They look around trying to figure where they are when they finally figure it out.

They were in Luna's mind.
