I sped into my driveaway and ran into the house. I grabbed myself a snack from the fridge so I wouldn't be too hungry incase we didn't eat till late. Once in my room I went through all of my clothes to try and decide on a perfect outfit for tonight. It took me a good half an hour which is definitely not like me. Usually I just grab whatever will be comfortable, but tonight I wanted to look pretty. In the end I had picked out a black dress that was tailored at the waist but flowed down to just above my knees. I decided to pair it with a pair of gold flats (just incase there was some walking involved tonight). I laid my outfit out carefully on my bed and went to have a shower.
I had the water on super hot and the room was filled with steam. I scrubbed my hair with shampoo and conditioned the ends. After probably the longest shower I had ever taken in my life I decided it was time to get ready. I stepped out of the shower, grabbed the towel and went to scrub the mirror of steam. For a second I stood there in shock, unable to move or speak. Written on the mirror in all capitals was: ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN BITCH.
What did that mean? Enjoy what while I could? And then it registered with me that someone (and we all know who that someone is) was in here while I was having a shower. I didn't even hear the door open, and how the heck would Shay have been able to come into my house without my parents noticing. I quickly flung open the bathroom door and ran to my room with the towel wrapped firmly around me. I checked every inch of my bedroom and when I made my way to my dresser to check everything (I keep my favourite things on my dresser), I saw that my snowglobe, my beautiful snowglobe that my grandpa had bought me back from Europe had been smashed. My grandpa had died 2 years ago and that globe was something that always kept him with me. I had told Shay that when he gave it to me and when he had died. She knew how much I loved that snowglobe. I choked back a sob. I felt so invaded. She had been in my room and she was starting to scare me as much as I hated to admit it. That's when I felt a soft breeze blow on my shoulder. I looked to my left and noticed my window was ajar. That's how she must of gotten in! I thought to myself. I always lock my windows but I must have forgotten. I couldn't believe that Shay would stoop this low.
As I got ready for my date I decided to text Madison. I wanted to tell someone about this but obviously wasn't going to tell my parents and I didn't feel like ruining my date with Matt by talking about this. Madison had given me her number at school and told me that if I ever wanted to text her I could.
Me: Madison guess what.
Madison: What?!?!
Me: I was having a shower and when I got out on the mirror was written: ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN BITCH! Then when I went to have a look in my room, I found my snowglobe given to me from my grandpa was smashed!
Madison: What! I can't believe that. Shay has really gone too far this time. Are you okay?
Me: Honestly not really. Kinda shaken up.
Madison: Want me to come over or something?
Me: Nah it's okay, I just kinda needed someone to talk to. Thanks though.
Madison: That's okay. Look, just forget about it for tonight and enjoy your date with Matt. I am sure he will be able to take your mind off it ;)
Me: Haha thanks ;)
I clicked off my phone and decided I really needed to hurry up with getting ready. I slipped on my dress and shoes and blow dried my hair. I swept on some mascara and applied my new favourite rosy pink lipstick and I was done. I heard the door bell ring and my dad answered the door. I had forgotten to even mention the date to my parents but I am sure they would be okay with it. They loved Matt although I am sure they are wondering why we have been spending so much time together lately. I made my way downstairs to see my dad and Matt having a casual conversation, something to do with sport it seemed. I stood there for a second just looking at Matt. He looked great wearing jeans and a long sleeved shirt that he had rolled up so that I could see his toned tanned skin, I almost melted at the sight. Matt must have seen me staring because he looked up and smiled. I walked down the last few steps and went over to my dad and Matt.
"Now Matt no staying out too late okay? Tayla's curfew is 10:30 on school nights," Dad shook Matt's hand.
"Yes dad it's fine okay we will be back then," I started to push Matt out the door so we could get away from my parents.
"No need to worry sir I will have her home safe," Matt smiled at my dad, he was so charming I am sure any parent would fall for that trusting smile.
"Thanks Matt, have a good time you too," Dad waved as we walked out the front door.
"Thanks dad I called behind me," Matt and I didn't talk as we walked to his car and as I went to open the passanger door he leant on it so it shut before I could even get my leg in, "Hey-," I was stopped short but the crushing of his lips against mine.
"I'm sorry but I had to do that," He leant his forehead against mine.
"No need to be sorry," I giggled and met his lips again but this time we kissed deeper. After a minute of intense kissing I decided we should probably get going as my dad is probably watching from the front window. Matt opened my door and I slid in. He started the engine and we set off on this mystery date.
We pulled up to what looked like a desserted park, "Matt what are we doing here?" I felt a bit worried being out here all alone and it was almost dark.
"You'll just have to wait and see," He laughed and helped me out of the car. Holding my hand we walked through the park and deeper into the trees.
"Matt it's starting to get dark where are we going?" I started to shiver, I wished I had bought a coat.
"It's not too far now," Matt reassured me and led me deeper. After five minutes of intense walking I could see light up ahead.
"What's that?" I peered through the trees and craned my neck to try and get a better look. We walked closer to the light and I could see the surprise. Infront of us was a gazebo which had been adorned with fairy lights and in the middle was a table with candles and a picnic basket.
Matt turned around and took a bow, "Ta-da,"
