I stare at my reflection and a frown forms on my face. I have an hour until I have to leave for school but if I want my hair to look good then I will need days. My hair straightener is all ready to use and I begin straightening pieces of my hair. About twenty minutes later my hair is straightened and I grab my black beanie to put on. I add some eye liner to my eyes, making it thick enough to my liking. My aunt always complains how I use too much but she can no longer tell me what to do.
Thankfully my new school is not private and I do not have to wear a hideous uniform. I look around my walk in closet and decide on a pair of ripped shorts with black tights underneath and a black tank top that hung loosely on my body. I put my usual bracelets on and grab my converse and bag before heading down towards the kitchen.
"Warren! Hurry up or you're going to be late!" My dad yells right as I walk past him, causing me to wince.
"Too early for yelling," I mumble.
He laughs at my words, "Sorry, kiddo."
Kiddo? Really? I ignore it and walk into the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast. I turn around to find Val giving me a quick wave, "Good morning! Got to rush! See you later!" I wave goodbye and take a bite out of my apple.
"Eric already left. He said he needed to stop by a coffee shop real quick but he told me to tell you that Chad from next door will bring you to school," my dad explains to me while he waits for Warren to come downstairs.
"He left?" Why didn't he tell me? I swear, ever since he came back from visiting my dad he's been so distant, it's irritating.
"Yep. Chad is taking you to school though," he tells my while grabbing his car keys.
"Warren! We need to leave or else I'll be late for work!"
Once again, way too early for yelling.
The doorbell rings and I make my way to the door, already assuming it's Chad. We did not get along very well on Friday night when his family came over for dinner but I try and push that thought aside as I open the door.
He looks good, just like the last time. Seriously, how did he get so attractive? It's unfair for everyone else. His leather jacket goes well with his dark skinny jeans. It's practically almost eighty degrees out and he's wearing jeans?
"You know it's almost eighty degrees out right?"
He rolls his eyes at my comment and takes a deep breath, "Do you want a ride or not?"
"Well, I've got no other way so yes."
"Then hurry up," he tells me before turning around and walking over towards his driveway.
I follow him and stand in shock when I realize what his "ride" is. He hands me the black helmet and then puts on his own. I stare at the helmet as if I've never seen one before and try my best to not freak out.
"A motorcycle? Really? Why can't you drive a car?"
He ignores my comment and throws his leg over the bike and then sits down. I mentally thank God for allowing me to witness that because in all seriousness, it was extremely sexy.
"You going to ride me or not?"
I can tell he is smirking right behind that helmet of his and it takes all of my strength to not slap his head and push him off the stupid thing. I make sure my backpack is on tight before placing the helmet on my head.
So much for having a good hair day.
I throw my leg over and sit right behind him, my chest pressed up against his back. He looks behind and gives me a smile, "That was sexy."
