They just waited there, unsure of what to do. It was easy to see that Alex was excited but afraid and embarrassed. James himself was beginning to grow fond of her, but he still had work to do so he refused to get himself caught up with her.

"Sorry but I can't stay for any dates. I have a few things I need to work out. Besides, I'm not really someone you'd want to be getting involved with."

Alex's mood dropped when she heard him say that. She'd been through so much the past two days, this was just the finishing blow to make it officially the worst day of her life.

"... But eh... I'm free tomorrow if you'd like to do this... thing with Crissy."

Her eyes instantly lit up and met James's,

"Tomorrow's perfect!"

James let out a little laugh and warned her that he didn't have anything formal to wear.

"Oh don't worry about it haha it doesn't have to be formal!"

James was already at the door, prepared to go out and find Francis.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow then."

Then he left. Alex let out a sigh of relief and then laid back on the hospital bed, daydreaming about how her date would be. Crissy quickly came back without her doctor's coat.

"Where the hell is he?"

Alex looked up at Crissy with a smile and said, "He left.."

"Then why the hell are you smiling?"

She told Crissy everything that happened from when James first got into the room to the moment he left.

"Well, alright! We're still having a double date! Mwahaha I'll get to try out that new dress after all!"

Alex let out a little laugh, "he doesn't have anything formal to wear."

"WHAT?! WHY?!"

"I guess he doesn't go out much."

Crissy gave Alex this look of disappointment, gently took her by thehands and said,

"Hon, you're gonna have to take him shopping some time."
