Alex woke up on a bed that didn't feel like her own, she was staring at a ceiling that wasn't hers either. Sitting up in a panic with the thought that she was kidnapped, Alex looked around for any clue of where she might be, but then remembered what happened earlier that morning.

"Those eyes..."

Alex slowly stood up and made her way to the door, she peeked out of it and from the hall saw James watching TV. The light of the hallway was closed so he didn't see Alex properly, but somehow, James knew she was awake and there.

"Good afternoon, gorgeous."

Startled by the unexpected greeting, Alex jumped to the sound of his voice! It was so sudden, but she collected herself and walked out.

"How'd you know I was awake?"

"I have sensitive ears, I could hear you from inside the bedroom."

This guy just keept making her fall for him over and over again, he had so many talents. And all Alex felt she was good at was cooking and designing, and being the damsel in distress...

"You're full of surprises aren't you? *chuckle*"

"Yeah well, that's what they tell me... haha"

Alex looked around the house and saw that it was a mess, clothes on the floor, uncleaned dishes on the table, and... "a swear jar?" She looked around even further and then...

"A beanbag!!"

Alex immediately jumped on it giggling and wiggling on top of it, she'd always wanted a beanbag, but could never find the right one, or the right time to go buy one. Alex felt like there were eyes watching her and, of course, James was. He was staring at her, she could see it in his face that he was trying hard not to laugh.

"I-I... I can explain!"

"Pff.. hahahaha! What's there to explain? That's adorable!"

Alex picked up a shirt that was on the floor and threw it at him.

"Shut up, I'm not cute! Not. One. Bit."

"You're crazy, you're like the cutest girl I've ever seen!"

Alex immediately covered her face. She was so used to being told by her mother that she'd never find a man and that she wasn't pretty enough for anyone to like her that she was always very embarrassed to hear things like that. Her heart was beating fast, her first instinct was run to the kitchen, but she didn't know what she was gonna do... Or where the kitchen was.

"You alright?"

Alex needed to come up with an excuse to not make the situation any more awkward.

"I'm uh... I... I'm gonna cook! It's lunch time ahahahaha.."

"Not gonna be easy to do that. I don't have any ingredients for you to use."

"What!?"

"You heard me."

"How did you survive this long!?"

"Chinese takeaway? Haha"

Alex went back to the bedroom to look for a piece of paper and pen to write on. She saw a piece of paper on James's nightstand but it had words on it. Alex knew she shouldn't have been snooping around but the temptation got to her.

"Ingredients?"

"Did you say something!?"

"Uh... N-nothing! I'm fine."

She immediately wrote down everything she needed that was on the list for the dish that she intended to make, including a rice cooker which James did not have. Alex went back out and handed James the paper as he gave her a puzzled look.

"What's this?"

"List of things you need to get in the supermarket."

"I'm not your errand boy haha, even if I was.. I don't have the money for it."

"Hold on."

Alex reached into her pocket and brought out her phone, took out the credit card that didn't need a password that she kept inside her phone case and handed it to James.

"You... office workers are rich aren't you?"

"It's a credit card, James. It doesn't make me anything."

"Haha, alright. feel free to do anything you like, you can take a shower if you want. I got towels in the wardrobe. Just don't go into the room on the right, that's my workspace."

A little while after James had left the apartment, Alex took a shower like he suggested. counting the time from the moment James left, an hour later, Alex was in her clothes. She had found a shirt that didn't belong to James. It was too small for him, it belonged to a woman.

Alex remembered James said that he hadn't dated in a long time, yet she found a woman's shirt in his apartment! However, James didn't seem like the type of person who would lie about that sort of thing, so she let it slide for the time being. Alex got out of the bathroom at the same time James arrived from
his shopping.

"Alex? It's me, could you open the door please? my hands are kinda full!"

"Just a second!"

She walked to the door very lively with enthusiasm and opened it, but instead of walking in, James just stood there. He eyed her from head to toe, however, his eyes lingered around her waist.

"James?"

Alex looked down at herself and saw that she was only wearing panties again, with the white shirt.

"Ahhh!!! I'm sososo sorry! It's a habit and I-I uh..."

James just walked in, placed the ingredients on the table and went to the couch.

"I'll be watching TV while waiting. Call me if you need any help at all in the kitchen."

Alex looked at him with a rather sad look and thought to herself "I'm surprised he didn't recognize the ingredients.." It seemed to her that James didn't really care about how she was dressed so she just took the ingredients and went to the kitchen.

Around an hour or two later, Alex finished the dish she wanted to make. She placed the food on the table and did not need to call James. He could smell the aroma of the food and walked to the table before she finished setting it.

"Mmmm~ Guacamole, Salad, chili sauce and..."

"Is something wrong?"

James looked at her with a rather shocked expression, he didn't move for a while so Alex decided to speak for him.

"Well? Haha... Dig in."
