After James left the apartment, Alex whispered to herself,

"Come home soon..."

She placed her hand on her forehead trying to feel for James's kiss, it was warm and soft. Following that, Alex jumped on the beanbag and started squirming and making girly noises and she continued doing so on the bed, squirming for a good 10 minutes, when all of a sudden!

"We almost kissed!! Why did that damn landlord have to ruin everythi-!"

*Knock knock knock*

"*Whispers* Who's that?"

Alex slowly walked to the door, could James have forgotten something? Maybe all he had to do was talk to a friend that owed him money?

"Son! I changed my mind! I'm kicking you out!! You've never given a full payment, its always next time, next time, next time! So you better-"

*Alex opens door*

"Umm... Do you accept credit cards?"

"Wh-who are you?"

The landlord was staring at her, dazzled and mesmerized by her beauty as he stuttered his question.

"I uh... well... I'm James's fiancé."

Alex had on a fake diamond ring that Crissy had given to her some time ago as a birthday present. She never really liked it that much but wore it anyway to not seem rude towards her best friend. And finally, it became useful for the first time as she presented questioner with her "engagement" ring.

"We... w-we... we don't! We don't accept credit cards! You guys better pay up or I'll-"

"How much's the rent?"

"1000£ a month!"

"Ok, well umm... I'll give you 2000£ for rent for the next two months and another 100£ for whatever that James still owes you. So you can leave us alone, is that ok for you? And please bring back the TV."

"I uh... ok? We only accept cash. Th-there's an ATM right downstairs."

"Ok, come with me then."

After handing the money to the landlord, Alex went back to James's apartment and cleaned everything up; dishes, washed the dirty clothes by hand since he had no machine to do that for him. Give or take an hour later, Alex took her things, went downstairs and called Dominic to come pick her up.

"Hey lass! Where are you?"

"Lassy?"

"I'm at... James's building.."

"Ahahaha! Did you guys do anything excitingast night? Hmmm~?"

"No! We didn't! Just shut up and get here before I change my mind!"

"Alright, alright haha."

Dominic got there like he always did, a little less than five minutes after she called. Alex got in the cab and after telling him where she wanted to go, decided to asked him how he got to places so fast.

"I just happened to be nearby! *wink*"

"Whatever... Just take me to the hospital."

"Are you hurt?"

"No, I need to see Crissy."

"Ahh, such a fine young lady!"
