"Eva! Eva, what happened to you? Where's James?"

It was plain to see that Eva had never really been through a situation like the one she had just gone through. There was that time at the store two months ago but she was with James, and he didn't have an arrow sticking out of his shoulder, or his blood on her face. Eva could not stop crying, and she really didn't want Alex going anywhere near the door or windows. Give or take, fifteen minutes passes before they heard noises coming from outside the door Alex left open. The two girls held their breaths and didn't make a sound when they heard the ones downstairs... The sound of rapid footsteps.

"ALEX!"

That was Crissy! What was she doing out there in that weather? Crissy ran up the stairs as fast as she could, (which wasn't very fast compared to most people) to see if her dear friend was even there. She found Alex and Eva stuck to each other sitting on the floor.

"Oh, thank God, you're ok!"

"Crissy?! What are you doing here?!"

"I... I needed to talk to you but when I got here, there was blood on the street on the side of the building from where I came... So, I thought I needed to get out of there... But then, one of the pillars downstairs has a chunk of it missing! Naturally, I thought you were in some kind of trouble... Where's James?"

Alex was processing everything she had just been told, could someone have taken him? That's ridiculous! Who on earth could even do something like that?

"W-we need to call for help!"

"Right, I'll call the police!"

"No... They won't do... I have to call Gabriel..."

Again, everyone was in bed in his house. Everyone but Abigail. She was in her teenage years, rebellious and big mouthed. Abigail Augustus was a reasonably tall young lady with long, borwn wavy hair, and green eyes. The eyes, she got from her mother, her hair, from her father.

Abigail was playing her PS4 when she heard the door knocking. She was on the verge of defeating the final boss in some game that was probably way too mature for her. She lost her concentration and lost the game. Angrily, Abigail went to the door to see who it was that had "cost her so much".

"What the hell do you want?"

Everyone was dying of cold! They later on found out that Gabriel kept his phone switched off when he was in bed with his wife and that that was the reason they couldn't reach anyone there through the phone. Abigail was leaning on the doorway with both her arms and legs crossed just staring at them, waiting for an answer.

"Ab-bigail... P-please le-t us in... So c-cold."

Abigail gave a deep sigh and stepped out of the way for them to come in.

"DAD! SOMEONE'S HERE TO SEE YOU! He probably didn't even hear me."

Just as she was about to go up the stairs to wake up her dad, Gabriel was already on his way down.

"Well, well, well haha you didn't have to come all this way just to see me! To what do I owe the pleasure? Abs, could you make some hot chocolate or something for Alex, and her friends, they're gonna freeze to death!"

Abigail, with her attitude, went to the kitchen to make something for the guests. All the while, Eva ran for the blanket that was just lying on the couch.

"Hmm, make yourselves at home! Honey, Alex is here!"

Alex didn't look one bit happy, after what had just happened, no one would be happy in her shoes. Crissy, on the other hand seemed to be pretty happy... Maybe aroused is a better word for it, she was eyeballing Gabriel like she eyed Dominic the first time they met.

"Gabe, I need your help!"

"Yeah, I noticed haha what can I do for you?"

"It's James... He's been taken!"

Gabriel became serious when he heard that, he invited them to sit down as he did. Gabriel's wife soon followed, she was wearing a nightgown, and probably nothing else underneath. Abigail was taking her time with the drinks, she really didn't want to have anything to do with the strangers in her house but couldn't really do much about it so she cooperated.

"What happened?"

"I don't know, Gabe... I wasn't there... Eva was the only one that saw what happened but... Do you speak german?"

"Ok... I see. *sigh* Where's her dad?"

"Mr. Eric is her father."

"Hmm... We need to get everyone James cares about to a safe location, everyone he knows. And we need to get Eva here to her dad so that he can translate for us what happened."

Alex got up as soon as he said those things, ready to face the blizzard again.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go!"
