Chapter 11: The use of house traits.

~•~

"Excuse me, are you Olivia Warwick?" A first year Slytherin ran up to Olivia as soon as her and Blaise walked through the sliding portrait that took them into the common room.

"Depends on who's asking." The girl replied curiously, readjusting the books she'd taken from the library in her hands.

"Professor Umbridge said she wishes to speak with you." The boy said before running out the common room.

Olivia turned to Blaise and the pair eyed each other curiously. Why an earth would Umbridge want to see her after classes on a fricken Wednesday? Olivia couldn't think of what she'd done in the short span of lesson hours to have the Professor requesting to speak with her. Instead she rolled her eyes and sighed, "What in Merlins name did I do?"

Blaise snorted while taking the books from her arms and her bag off her shoulder, "Olivia, you've insulted the woman every hour for the past three days. Surely she'd of bound to of heard you some time."

"Fair point." She nodded, her eyes narrowed while she thought as Blaise chuckled from beside her. She tapped the boy's shoulder and began walking off, "Tell Draco." She called back, her head peeping round the door before she disappeared soon after into the corridor.

"Professor, what can I do for you?" Olivia asked sweetly with a sarcastic smile plastered on her face as she opened the door to the professors office. She had to force herself to stop from curling her nose up in disgust at the amount of pink in one room along with the incessant sound of cats meowing everywhere.

"Yes, Warwick I'm glad you received my message." The woman smiled as she placed a tea cup down on her desk.

"Yes, forgive me Professor but why am I here?"

"Take a seat please." The woman said, extending an arm to the chair opposite her. Olivia did so and took a seat, crossing her leg over the other and tilted her head to the side while arching a brow curiously. "I called you here today to discuss what happened in our first lesson." Umbridge said as she added sugar into her tea.

"Go on Professor." The girl smiled as she leaned forwards in her chair, faking interest in the conversation.

"I hadn't the chance to tell you due to your dramatic exit but I'm expecting you in detention tomorrow." Umbridge matched the smile on Olivia's face.

"Excuse me for my boldness Professor but do you mind me asking what for?" Olivia said as she kept a poker face. Inside she was absolutely furious, dying to hex the woman off the face of the earth for her choice of words and unjustified actions against her.

"Well to be quite plain you and Mr. Potter both told. .unnerving lies." The woman stated.

Olivia pursed her lips as a muscle tucked in her jaw. She contemplated her next words carefully before she leaned forwards even more and placing her elbows on the woman's desk. "Have it your way Professor. . but tomorrow is the first social event of the school year and I am more than aware that you know of it, so my question is this. Being the Prefect of Slytherin house, I am expected to plan and supervise the event itself meaning my presence is required. If I'm here serving an unjustified detention instead of there won't questions arise?" She smirked triumphantly, narrowing her eyes slightly.
