Chapter 39: Brave but not stupid
Olivia gave Ron a small nod as she moved over to Umbridge's desk and focused her attention into opening the locked draw.
With the majority of the Inquisitorial Squad throwing their guts up the four remaining Gryffindor's and Slytherin had minutes to grab their wands and run.
Ron's genus idea was Puking Pastilles, as soon as he got them out of his pocket Crabbe and Goyle wasted no time in moving to take them. Everyone except Draco and Blaise had joined the greedy pair in eating the vomit causing sweets.
"Olivia!" Ron called from the door.
She turned her head back to face him, still couched at the desk, "Go, go. I'll catch up."
Ginny's head poked round the door, "Liv–"
"–Gin go before she gets back, get to Harry and 'Mione."
The bother and sister exchanged a quick glance before looking out to the sight in front of them, Crabbe was vomiting into the fire place while Goyle had a bin. Millicent Bulstrode had found a bag and Pansy had decided on the floor. Draco and Blaise were too distracted on not being thrown up onto to see the five move quickly away. The siblings nodded before leaving the office and running though the Defence classroom and towards the Wooden Bridge, in hope of getting to Harry and Hermione.
Olivia on the other hand cursed loudly as the draw wouldn't budge, her focus was terrible and she had a migraine forming. Her clouded mind couldn't seem to stay clear for more than a few seconds for her to concentrate on opening the draw non-verbally. She closed her eyes briefly and drew a long breath before exhaling, her mind set on unlocking the draw and retrieving the groups wands.
She didn't know it but Draco was watching her curiously from across the room.
Olivia let out a small cry of relief as an unlocking sound was heard, wasting no time she opened up the draw and took all seven wands – shoving her own eleven alder wood and unicorn haired core into her boot. She moved quickly over to the door when someone caught her elbow, she snapped round quickly hoping to see Draco stood before her but let out a short sigh when she came face to face with Blaise.
"Liv what're you doing?"
"I'm going to save my dad Blaise."
The boy shook his head, "Olivia you're sixteen, how do you expect to get there?"
She shrugged her shoulders, "I-I don't know but I'll find a way, I can't just leave it down to chance."
She quickly turned to leave again but stopped when Blaise pulled her back by her arm and brought her into a tight embrace, "Olivia please don't be stupid."
She was the first to pull away, a sympathetic smile on her face, "Brave. .but not stupid."
She looked over to Draco to see him stood watching the pair, his mouth slightly open. Turning back to Blaise she rubbed his arm as the boy hugged her again quickly, "I forgive you Olivia but please be careful, I don't know what I'd do without my best friend by my side."
"I alway am Zabini don't worry, I'll be back to annoying you in no time."
She parted from the boy with watery eyes, unknowing of what she was about to face at the Ministry but she knew one thing.
She was prepared for the worst and she was ready to put up a fight.

Olivia made it to the bridge just in time as Ron, Ginny, Neville and Luna had met up with Harry and Hermione. With their wands tightly held in her hand she bent over in an attempt to catch her breath as she offered their wands back to them.
