Chapter 65: The morning after

~•~

The next morning was an awkward one to wake up to and Olivia thanked her lucky stars she was the first awake. She ignored the slight pounding in her head from crying the night before and carefully manoeuvred the arm that was draping over her front.

She held the sheets close to her body and leant over the bed and picked up Draco's shirt along with a fresh pair of knickers out of the drawers on her nightstand. When she had her undergarments on she pulled the boys large t-shirt over her head and laid back down where Draco was starting to stir slightly.

The boy blinked several times before opening his eyes clearly and adjusting to his surroundings and when he recognised the unfamiliarity of the room out of instinct he grabbed the sheet and covered his arm frantically. He hadn't even noticed Olivia next to him until he heard her voice.

"You don't need to hide it anymore Draco, we went over that last night." He turned his head to see the girl laid on her back next to him staring up at the ceiling with her arms resting on her stomach. She turned her head to the left to meet his gaze and gave him a soft smile, "You look out of it."

Draco continued to blink before finding his voice and running a hand though his hair, "I feel it, did we drink last night?"

Olivia let out a small chuckle, "No, although there was a point I could've drown in a good bottle of fire whiskey before smashing it over your head."

"You know your threats are kinda becoming progressively worse."

"I know. I blame the curse."

An awkward silence filled the room leaving Draco to figure out that he was naked. Instantly he moved to the edge of the bed and reached out to retrieve his briefs before slipping them back on, "So did we–?"

"Unless we just decided to strip naked for the hell of it then yes Draco we did." She replied sitting up.

Draco watched as she got out of her own bed wearing nothing but panties and his shirt. Like the old times his eyes roamed her bare legs and then her covered body while she moved around. Olivia left to the bathroom and came back a minute later with something in her hand, throwing it at the boy, "Here. Thought you'd like some shorts."

"That'd be a start." Draco murmured, moving the sheets off himself and too getting out of the bed to pull on the shorts.

"We need to talk about last night." Olivia sighed.

Draco's gaze flickered down to the ground, "I know."

Olivia chewed on the bottom of her lip before climbing over her bed to get to Draco. Kneeling on the edge of her bed closet to him she brushed her fingers under his chin and lifted his face upwards to face her. She gave him a supportive smile and took his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. She caressed his cheekbone with her thumb, "You know Draco they say the loveliest angles make the cruelest demons and my darling you were so kind and beautiful before they dragged you to hell."

Draco moved away from Olivia, stepping out of her touch, "I was nothing of the sort. I've never been kind, not to anyone."

"You were to me."

"Not at first. I bullied you in our first year because I was jealous you were spending more time with Weasley and Potter than me."

"You made your enemies as soon as you stepped foot into the entrance hall remember? The first words that left your mouth was an insult to Ron, who besides me was the first person Harry met of our age. You made the wrong impression that's all."
