Chapter 53: Is it true?
~•~
With the temperature of the Scottish air dropping due to the upcoming fall of winter many of the students in Hogwarts had found themselves prepared for the cold whether ahead, the dungeons had become increasingly colder and the rain clouding the sky that day had placed a somber mood over the castle grounds.
For Olivia she had despised the winter season as she always came down with something.. hyperthermia, chest infection or just a plain cold but you name it, she got it.
When the cold arrived it normally came unexpected to the students, one day they would return to their dormitories after a warm day then wake the next to days upon days of rain and wind. House scarfs, jumpers, hats and gloves were pulled from their trunks and wrapped round them in a desperate bit to keep warm.
That particular day Olivia had found herself with three pairs of tights on and two jumpers underneath her cloak yet she was still shivering from the cold. The sixth year students who had just had Care of Magical Creatures had been put into a foul mood after having to run up from Hargid's Hut to the castle in the pouring down rain, their robes soaked and their bodies shivering.
Lunch time had fell and Olivia was cooped up in the sanctuary of the warmth in the Great Hall, her nose red and fingertips numb. Her appetite was only drawn to the hot chocolate and steaming soup in front of her, her and her classmates from Care of Magical Creatures had fallen into the conversation of Pansy Parkinson's mysterious absence from the first half of the days lessons.
Serena, Graham and Draco had returned from their quick decision to skip that particular lesson and had taken a seat with the colder looking students, Serena laughing as she sat down next to Olivia, "Well don't you all look cheery."
"How about I throw you out into the cold, wet rain and see how you look." Olivia snapped, sniffing.
"I'd never of guessed rain was wet, gee, thanks for the insight Olivia." Graham had replied, picking up a slice of bread.
Draco bit back a snigger when he saw the deadly glare on Olivia's face directed to Graham, her eyes had narrowed considerably, "Say that again Montague I fucking dare you and I'll throw you into the Black Lake for the Grindylows." She challenged raising a brow.
Graham opened his mouth to form a reply but realised he didn't have one for her, she flashed him a winning smirk before taking a sip of her hot chocolate. At the same time Pansy Parkinson had decided to show her face that day and took a seat next to Draco on the table, Olivia huffed as she made eye contact with Alexis who sat opposite her.
They fell into conversation about classes and the upcoming matches of the inter-house Quidditch Cup, "First match is against them Gryffindorks with Potter as their new captain–"
"–Weasley's the new keeper." Blaise added.
"If you have the smallest shot of winning you've got to up your game, all of you, otherwise those Gryffindorks are going smash your sorry arses out of the park." Olivia said.
"How do you know so much about the Gryffindor team?" Theo asked in exasperation.
The girl gave him a deadpan look, "I live with their keeper, chaser and the best beaters that team has ever seen."
Graham was about to ask for their strategies when Astoria Greengrass came sprinting into Great Hall, flustered, out of breath and soaked to the core. She ran straight over to them and slapped her hands down onto the table dramatically, "Pansy is it true?!"
