The Battle of the Astronomy Tower: Part One

~•~

"How have you not yet been kicked out of this common room Black?" Seamus Finnigan joked as he passed Olivia sat with Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ginny on one of the sofas in the Gryffindor common room.

Olivia turned her head to meet the gaze of the Irish boy stood next to his best friend Dean Thomas, "One of two reasons Finnigan. It's either you're too scared to say something or you don't mind me being here."

Seamus rolled his eyes before laughing, "Probably doesn't help your besties with our prefects." He joked.

"I live with one of your prefects." She corrected.

"Hmm, whatever. See you around Black." Seamus said, as he and Dean continued to pass through the common room.

Olivia turned back to face her friends and smiled at Ron, resting her head on his shoulder, "I'm hungry."

"Your what?" He asked in exasperation.

"Is it that shocking that I've found my appetite again?"

"Uh yes actually." Ginny replied.

The group collected themselves and their wands before making their way to the Great Hall for lunch. Harry and Ron walked ahead of Hermione, Ginny and Olivia, the three girls conversing about Harry quietly.

"So him and Dumbledore are leaving tonight?" Ginny asked.

Olivia nodded, staring to the back of the boy's head, "Yeah, they're gonna try and find a Horcrux. Dumbledore has an idea of where the next one might be."

"Your staying here?" Hermione asked.

"Oh yeah, three's a crowd."

"Is it dangerous?" Ginny asked, "Where they're going."

She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know Gin .. why are you worried?" She teased.

"What's the deal with you two?" Hermione asked herself.

"Yeah, Ron told me when he asked if the two of you did it Harry started to freak out." Olivia brought up, "Obviously Ron's too oblivious to notice why." She mused.

Ginny's face flushed a deeper shade than her hair that she tried to hide behind. Her sheepish reaction told both girls all they needed to know.

"Oh Ginevra." Olivia mused smugly, "How scandalous, your brother's best friend."

Hermione scoffed, "It's about time."

"Yeah now all we need is for you and Ron to do it." Ginny said bluntly.

Hermione nearly dropped the book she was holding out of shock as she shoved Ginny's shoulder. The Weasley girl crashed into Olivia's shoulder and the three went back and forth bickering and shoving until Ginny found herself crashing into Harry.

"How romantic." Olivia cooed, winking at Ginny as she had been the one to push the girl.

Ginny flushed red again and glared at Olivia as Harry reacted awkwardly. Hermione leaned closer to her best friend, "I think you should run." She advised.

"I think I'll be fine." She responded, a small smile tugging playfully on her lips as Ginny charged towards her.

Olivia started firing harmless charms in Ginny's direction as a distraction while she ran the long way round the two boys. Both girls ran through the corridors, ignoring Professor Flitwick as the smaller teacher scolded her for using magic in the corridors.
